The views were amazing ,it is Convenient to the town centre the food was good and the staff were so friendly and helpful, Thank you.

This large hotel is just a 10 min stroll into the centre of Sorrento. It has stunning views from the rooftop pool and garden area as well as the large bar and dining rooms. We found the staff to be courteous and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for the bar staff. Our rooms were very clean and well equipped. Only negative comment I would make is about the quality of toiletries supplied, they were quite cheap and nasty which was disappointing considering this is not the most inexpensive of hotels! That said, I would recommend the hotel and stay there again given the opportunity to visit Sorrento in the future.

We do definitely always return to wonderful Sorrento and stay at our favorite Bristol Hotel. We have just returned from our 7th stay at this gorgeous hotel. From the moment we arrive and are greeted by Salvatore till the moment we leave we are so thrilled to be there once again. This visit was extra special as we took our two granddaughters ( ages 17 and 10) to visit with us. We were escorted to the most wonderful "family room" . Our accommodation had a separate sleeping area consisting of two beautifully "dressed" (in white Satin) twin beds for the girls as well as a lovely master bedroom area for us. The balcony was simply fantastic --- chaise lounges, sun sofa , table and chairs and a hot tub. The girls enjoyed a most amazing visit. We had the most glorious view from our balcony, overlooking Vesuvio and the harbor. Since we visited at Easter, there were beautiful chocolate Easter eggs awaiting the girls in our room. We love to visit the Bristol , the staff is always warm and welcoming especially Matteo in the dining room and Salvatore as well as all the reception staff. We love to sit in the piano bar at night and enjoy the starlit view as well as spending some afternoon time lounging on the sunny terraces. We have already planned our return to Sorrento at the Bristol Hotel for next year!

Room Tip: Always ask for a room "vista mare" with a sea view. Higher floors are best. As return v...

This hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed in. The Hotel Bristol is definately a 5 star hotel (it should be awarded more). On arrival for our Honeymoon - we were booked in for a weeks stay, we were told we were upgraded from a Sea-View room with Balcony to a Superior Room on the 7th Floor, and Superior it was. The room had his one veranda where we had sun loungers, tables and chairs and the most fantastic view ever. We look out and could see Sorrento, the marinas and the most fantastic view of the Volcano Versuvius that you could ever dream of. Imagine waking up every morning to the beautiful view, well we did. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and extremelly helpful. The waiting staff in the restaurant were so polite and very very experienced, and the food was out of this world with traditional dishes and a vast variety of meals on offer, fabulous wine to drink and not a bland dish in sight, all food was full of flavour and taste. The hotel was booked on a half board basis with the choice of Breakfast and Dinner or Breakfast and Lunch, it was so nice to have this option so we could also experience some of the delights of Sorrento with its many restaurants and cafes with yummy food.
With 9 floors to the hotel and a swimming pool on the roof (although we didnt try out due to it either raining or it being too cold to swim as in April the weather isnt that warm.
I cannot wait to go back to this hotel as I feel as though there is so much more to see and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Sorrento, dont let the name put you off as it almost did with us the HOTEL BRISTOL IS FANTASTIC please please visit there.

Room Tip: Try to pick on with a sea view or with a balcony as the other rooms look towards the cliff edge. If...

Recently returned from a delightful stay at the Bristol. Having visited Sorrento several times over the last 25 years I would have to say the Bristol is up there with best of the hotels we have stayed in. It's probably worth noting that all the staff are the same as when we last visited some 8 years ago - this hotel obviously works. The rooms were sizeable and spotlessly clean with turndown service in the evening. Worth noting if you are requesting a sea view with balcony, do not ask specifically for a bath. The rooms with shower only, appear to have better balconies.
Food in the restaurant was good and typically Italian. Matteo and Sergio do an excellant job looking after your every need. Whilst on the subject of food - to have breafast at a window table in the 7th floor restaurant, overlooking Sorrento and the Bay of Naples is simply quite stunning and a wonderful precursor to whatever you may have planned for the day.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and extend my thanks to all the staff for wondrrful stay.

Room Tip: Don't ask for bath unless you are booking a suite.

We have just returned from a week away at The Bristol Hotel. It stands high above the city and has spectacular views over the whole of Sorrento, the Marina Grande and The Bay of Naples. It is in one of the best positions and is about a ten minute walk to the centre.

We were somewhat disappointed with the position of the room we were allocated but, after enquiring about other rooms, were offered a beautiful room in a much better part of the hotel. The majority of rooms have balconies with magnificent views and some are large enough to accommodate sun beds as well as a table and chairs.

The staff were wonderful and so friendly. They worked extremely hard as bedrooms were spotless, the dining rooms immaculate and all areas shone.

The restaurant team, led by the wonderful Matteo, a very friendly and gracious man, was fantastic. We have to say a big thank you to Sergio for his friendly greetings, and to the majority of waiters who were truly professional and took pride in all they did.

The breakfasts were excellent and a lovely start to the day, especially when seated at a window table overlooking the city.Guests on half board could choose lunch or dinner. The meals we were served ranged from good to very good. The wine list was good too.

As we went in April we expected mixed weather and that is what we got. We had gloriously warm weather and thunder and lightening storms! The weather was warm enough for trousers and shirts in the day and a light jacket at night. The locals, however, were still in their winter attire!

This was not our first visit and certainly not our last. We look forward to returning to Sorrento and The Bristol Hotel.

Diolch i bawb- Thank you to everyone.

The Bristol is a fantastic property. Beautiful location overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The service is the best. Salvatore at the front desk was amazing. Very professional and extremely helpful and accommodating. His "tips" and recommendations we excellent. This is a 5 Star property with a 5 Star staff. There is no reason to look any farther. If you are visiting Sorrento you will be thrilled staying at the Bristol.
