My husband and I recently stayed for 9 nights at the hotel bristol for our Honeymoon. We were given a fabulous suite (914). It had a massive balcony with outdoor jacuzzi. The Views over the bay were stunning. The room was cleaned to the highest standard every single day even changing the towels again in the evening if we had used them for the jacuzzi during the day.

The staff at the hotel are wonderful, especially the front desk staff who are so helpful and curtious. They offered us lots of information and provided maps and timetables.

We were staying on a B&B basis and the breakfast was very good. The basics stayed the same everyday ie cereal, fruit, yoghurt, crusty rolls but they would change around certain things like the type of fruit on offer and some days they had Prosecco and chocolate crepes etc. We only ate in the restaurant twice and i have to admit i did find the menu quite limited (I dont eat seafood). It would have been good to have a special on every evening so you felt there was some variety but on saying that what i ate on the two occasions was tasty. Of course when I go away I prefer to sample the local restaurants of which there are plenty in Sorrento town. My favourite was the old taverna Sorrentina. My husband really liked Inn buffalito.

My only little gripe with the hotel is that there is no Wi-fi which would have been so handy as we had to check work emails while away and as we had just gotton married we wanted to see the wedding pictures people were uploading for us but in saying that they do have a computor and gave us access to this whenever we asked for it with out any problem. Overall the hotel is really beautiful with friendly staff and stunning views. The location is excellent with a bus stop right outside the door but we walked into the town every day to burn of the lovely Pizza and pasta were were feasting on every day!!

i would have no problem in recommending this hotel to anyone wanting to visit beautiful Sorrento.

Me and my new wife stayed at the Bristol Hotel during our stay in Sorrento. We got married in Positano and then held our reception in the hotel. We had 40 people and they were all really well looked after. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we couldn't fault the hotel. The room (Villa Bianca) was beautiful, the food first class and the staff Jean Carlo and his team were superb. They really made us feel special. I would highly recommend the hotel as somewhere stay.

Bristol is a big hotel in Sorrento but a beautiful choice. Great view, marvellous room (705), rich breakfast with sparkling wine and nutella pancakes, cozy and friendly staff make us feeling on honeymoon again. Thank you!! It was a great pleasure being with you.

My husband and I and my two kids (8 and 10 years old) spent two wonderful weeks at this lovely hotel in the Villa Bianca Suites. After searching high and low for a hotel that was beautiful, well-located with a pool, that also had a 'suite' accomodations, we arrived at this perfect hotel. It really felt like we stayed in our own private cottage. Gorgeous lemons growing on trellises, flowers everywhere and breathtaking views were only part of it's charm. We had a terrace that spanned the entire length of the suite, along with a table and chairs for a family of 4, a fantastic outdoor double jacuzzi, coffeetable, lounge chairs, a swing chair and even an outdoor 'kichen' complete with dishes a sink and a fridge. Simply wonderful and utterly quiet. The terrace was surrounded by flowers and bushes providing privacy but not impeding the views. Inside the suite were two rooms, separated by a real door (hard to find sometimes!) both of which had sliding doors which opened on to the terrace. The master bedroom had a four-poster bed, dressers, armoire, and was very spacious. The kids stayed in the living room where the television was, and we used it as a seond bedroom, living the sofabed in the open position. The bathroom was nice, and included various toiletries. Everything was very clean and well-appointed. Downtown was within easy walking distance, where we caught the bus to Positano and Amalfi, the train to Vesuvius, Pompeii and Naples, as well as the hydrofoil to Ischia and Capri.

We got a driver for a trip to Ravello as well as for other local excursions. His info is : Giulio Guerriero at www.guemartravel.com, (cellphone [--])- we can't recommend him more highly. His English was excellent (even though I enjoyed practicing my Italian with him too), incredibly punctual and reliable, very fair in terms of rates, and a good careful driver. He was a wealth of information and very pleasant as well.

While the driving on your own is certainly do-able (not at all scary) it's mostly just incredibly slow because of congestion. We typically drive on vacation, but in this region along the Amalfi Coast Drive it's bothersome. Having a driver is ideal if you don't wish to be bothered.

The pool was a haven and a delight with unbelievable views- the kids adored playing in it and met many other kids. It was a good mix poolside of adults and some families with kids, and you could order light snacks and drinks poolside. We dined in the outdoors lunch restaurant several times, and the food was good. The fitness center was excellent with several treadmills and bikes as well as other equipment. Service at the hotel was excellent and attentive. We did not try the main restaurant for dinner as we were typically elsewhere. The ambiance at the hotel is very pleasant, and the staff were all lovely.

Really a 5 star experience at the Villa Bianca Suites- perfect for families.

Could not fault this Hotel one bit. The food was of excellent variation and quality each evening. I have no hesitation to recommending this hotel to anyone. Other people staying at the Hotel reflected the same views. Should we return to Sorrento this will be the Hotel in which we will stay.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel in late September. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was one of the best we experienced in Europe. the views from our room were panoramic. The hotel is a ten minute walk to the town. There is convenience store a few hundred feet from the front door where you can buy water. The staff was outstanding. We had great four days at the hotel. As Americans we were very pleased with the entire experience.

We had our wedding reception here in Sept and stayed for 10 days . The staff helped arrange everything, they really could do no more. The food and service at the reception was fantastic. Highly recommended.
