We stayed at this hotel from 2/4/10 for 1 week. Hotel has fantastic views overlooking the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The hotel is very clean and the staff are really friendly and made us feel really welcome. The evening meals were lovely but not very big portions. When ordering drinks either with your meal or in the bar there arent any price lists available as you give them your room number and can have a print out of what you have ordered. Prices are reasonable and about the same as in Sorrento. If you are considering staying at this hotel you must book a sea view as it is breathtaking, it is worth paying the supplement. If you decide to attend the welcome meeting hopefully it will be with Katherine as after the meeting she takes you on a walking tour around some of the restaurants/cafes of Sorrento and have free samples of wine and icecream along the way. Take your own pool towels as the hotel charges for the hire. The resort of Sorrento is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Be careful of some of the restaurants as they charge you a service charge as well as a cover charge for each person. Overall had a fantastic week and make sure you take plenty of euros

I got a bargain room on the sixth floor and the view was so stunning, especially at night and first thing in the morning, that I never wanted to leave. I found the walk to town easy but you'd have to be mobile. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff quite non-obtrusive but still helpful if you ask. Worth it if you get a good rate, but it depends on if you want to be part of the action or just removed from it.

This place was great. Our rooms were clean & roomy and had great views of Mt Vesuvius & town, we were on the 5th floor. Good American breakfast. Bus line A stops right in front of the Hotel, would have been good to know, we spent 20 euro going about a km in a cab, also not a bad walk from town, although a little up hill. There is a little market down the street toward town. The Irish Pub was also a good time, really nice owners. Old Taverna on Via Fuoro 23 is also worth going to homemade pasta, wine and olive oil.

The Bristol hotel is located high on a hill about 800m from the city centre. It takes about 10 minutes to walk into town and the local restaurants. The view from the balcony of our room was spectatular. The restaurant has the same view, although the food while being reasonable is not up to the view. The staff are very accomodating and friendly. The rooms with the balcony views are very large by european standards, with separate bathroom (our shower screen door leaked), and separate lounge areas. Buffet breakfast was included in our room price and was ok but not great. I could only get WiFi internet access for 30 minutes at a time. This is a really good value hotel in a terrific coastal town.
