I would recommend anybody to go to this Hotel. Everything about it was great. The decor was lovely, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly. The view from our room was truly spectacular with a view out across the bay of Naples. Truly magnificent hotel in Sorrento. A relative had their wedding reception in the hotel and it was fantastic. The pool is super also. I could not say one bad thing about this hotel.

Hotel Bristol was recommended to us by Residenza Pansa in Amalfi. We did not regret it at all. We had a junior suite with the best view you can get. My husband left his coat with a few hundred euros in it at a shoe shop. We were not sure about the name. But we were pleasantly surprised that they found the shop after some research and that they also picked up the coat, incl. the money. I couldn´t believe it, what a great service! We will certainly recommend this hotel.

The location couldn't be better - set into the cliff with outstanding views over the bay and Vesuvius. A comfortable 5 - 10 minute walk into the town centre. The service is second to none! The motto of the hotel seems to be "we take hospitality seriously!"
The dining room has wonderful views, as does the piano bar, and both are decorated in a very pleasing, tasteful way - very uplifting. The sun terrace is very relaxing, and they've (very thoughtfully) added an awning over part of it if you don't like to be in the full sun. Check out the little mentioned garden above the pool area - it's beautiful! There is a children's play area, too, though due to the hotel layout I wouldn't really say it was ideal for children. The room we had was quite basic, although it did have a blackout shutter and air conditioning - both very welcome! Some we peeked into had a balcony or terrace, and better views, but ours was ok. One thing to mention is the food - perfectly acceptable, but if you're expecting flavoursome Italian food you might be disappointed; we found it really quite bland. There is a wide choice of cocktails available in the piano bar, and there is a pianist and/or singer there several times a week.
One note of caution: the road outside is VERY busy at times, and the hotel entrance/exit is more or less on a corner. The zebra crossings do not operate like in the UK and you need to be extremely careful!! You need to cross over to get onto the footpath into town. Everyone will advise you to visit the Davide ice cream parlour, but do check out the Mona Lisa ice cream kiosk in the same street - DEEELICIOUS!! No beaches in Sorrento.

My 8 year old son is allergic to peanuts, nuts, milk, and eggs. The restaurant staff was extremely helpful. They not only made sure that his food was allergen free but also strived to offer him a variety of delicious options. It is THE MOST accommodating establishment we have ever eaten at.

Our room was spacious, very clean, and well decorated. We had an extraordinary view of the harbor. The pool was terrific and the gardens in the back of the hotel were stunning. Everyone in our party enjoyed the hotel and restaurant. I can't wait to return.

I emailed the hotel 2 weeks before my arrival date regarding special dietary requirements and received the usual 'no problem' response . What I was not expecting was the effort the restaurant staff put into making sure I had great food and a wide variety of it. They looked after me very very well. The service was personalised and charming making the stay all the more enjoyable.

If you are someone who weighs service more heavily than other aspects, you will absolutely love this hotel. The staff are very nice and accommodating, it's hard not to like. For example, as soon as we arrived an attendant took our luggage to our room & parked our car (free parking). The check-in process was quick & realizing it was late (about 9:30PM), the receptionist offered to make a reservation for us and/or hold a spot for us at their restaurant knowing the kitchen usually closes at 10pm. I could go on and on.
What I really loved best about the hotel was the view. Our balcony view was stunning, you felt surrounded by the view of the Amalfi coast wherever you went even in the enormous breakfast area and speaking of breakfast that was good too. You had many options of different breakfast foods which I enjoy.
Another plus, is that your just far enough away from the noisy downtown Sorrento to really enjoy yourself.
The only negatives i could think of were: the place is a little dated and the elevator was unpredictable, but that was being fixed & never really gave us a problem.
Overall, the place is one I would come back to & stay in again.
