Arrived at the hotel late on a Monday evening to a buffet style meal. It was a good start to the holiday and things only got better from there regarding the food.

Breakfast was buffet style with everything from cereal, toast, bread, salad, pastries and cooked food such as omelettes, bacon & sausage. Whilst there was cold boiled eggs there was never hot ones!

Evening dinner was good quality Itaian food, and anyone that complains about either the choice or quality can't know what good food is! All choices were laid out in the menu on the table so you could understand what you were getting. Salad was serve yourself with plenty of choice and different dressings.
Main course was served by the chefs, if they don't give you enough of a portion then ask for more! They were more than obliging. Dessert was also served by a chef, again if you don't get enough ask for more or go back for another plate full! No one minds!!

One thing to note here is that the waiters were very quiet at cleaning the dirty dishes away (unlike the Spanish!)

The pool was spotless, a little cold for us but it didn't stop some people dipping in for a swim. There was always sunbeds available and also deck chairs. It's a brilliant idea to open the pool area at a set time and stop people putting towels on the sunbeds!

Only one negative......the showers really are tooooooo small! I'm not a big person but I struggled with the tiny shower! Tip to the management.....ditch the bidets and install a bigger shower, not all guests are small!

And finally, the bar staff! We sat at the bar most nights and have to give huge credit to the bar staff. They work tirelessly to keep guests glasses topped up, always had a friendly smile and were full of local knowledge and professional. Mariano & Luigi made our holiday, what a fabulous team of guys! The management should be proud of you guys.

We will return to this beautiful resort.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room, we had room 111, less neighbours so less noise.

The room was basic -more 3 star than 4star, although I think that is similar in many Italian hotels. We stayed in a garden facing room. The main issue was the noise! They have no sound proofing so we could hear people talking in the corridor and next door rooms, doors slamming, people stomping around etc. We were woken up through the night and very early in the morning e.g at 2:30am when people came back from a night out, 5:30am when people were checking out and decided to drag their suitcase down the stairs! (Not sure why as there is a lift,) I could hear the neighbours text messages bleeping it was that bad! The sound seemed to echo through the corridors. The bed was also uncomfortable and old so we could feel the springs. The communal areas of the hotel were nice, staff nice, location good and the tunnel did not bother us. However we would not recommend this hotel as the noise was just too bad and don't feel the room is 4 star quality.

Room Tip: Hard to say as I would think the noise would be similar in all the rooms.

Conca Park is a modern efficiently run hotel where the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our rooms was spacious and simply furnished with generous storage space and a firm comfortable bed .The modern bathroom included a shower with controls that were easy to regulate to the exact requirements for pressure and temperature with out any sudden unexpected fluctuations. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and we'll maintained.

The breakfasts included a good selection of cereals, fruit, bread and pastries as well as eggs to order. The only reservation about the breakfast was the provision of coffee from a machine, in Italy this was disappointing. The dinners provided a good choice of hot and cold dishes served from a buffet where there could be some queuing, but never for mor than a few minutes. The chefs, and all staff in the dining room were always pleasant and courteous when serving us.

The hotel is conveniently situated to reach the centre of town, although we soon found it was easier and more pleasant to use the old access from near the pool rather than the tunnel unless going to the station. The hotel has excellent free wi-fi, although strangely this was not mentioned on Thompson's web site.

We stayed at the conca park for a week travelling with thompsons. I am quite a fussy person to please and I can honestly say this hotel was outstanding. Everywhere is spotless and belive me I checked. There is not a single spot in the place that is neglected. Check in was good and you enter the hotel via a tunnel. If you are too tired to walk up one of the staff will take you up in a golf buggy. The staff are well turned out and very helpful at all times. One night we were sitting in the cocktail garden and there was a few spots of rain. The barman came out and unwound the canopies to make sure we didnt get wet. The food is good quality with plenty of choice. There is a chef on a morning making fried eggs and omelettes on request as well as a continental option. Lots of cereal choice and fresh fruit are available too. Dinner was buffet choice with a soup option, plenty of fresh salads, pastas and meats. Then the hot counter always had a roast meat, fish and plenty of veg. If you like fish you will be in heaven. Puddings were large gateauxs, profiterols, ice cream, fresh fruit and cheese with crackers. All available in as much as you wanted to eat. The pool area has deck chairs and sun loungers and is very relaxing. The pool is not heated and the water was chilly on a morning. Our room was all white with a nautical theme but they are in the process of upgrading them all. The hotel is also the first in sorrento to have a zero carbon footprint and there are water fountains situated around the hotel to fill waterbottles up instead of buying water all the time. They also have recycling stations for paper and plastics on each floor. Because they dont put the air conditioning on until june (carbon footprint reason again) the room was a little hot but a fan was provided on request. I have no problem recommending this hotel and the staff made us feel very welcome and very special for the whole of our stay.

Room Tip: Ask tor a higher floor room with a sea view. The 5th floor is the showcase floor.

Very clean hotel with very smart, attentive staff who find nothing too much bother. Rooms ok although the view at the rear is straight onto the mountain approx 10 yards away.the pool isn't heated but is clean & has a lifeguard on duty & also has a snack/ drinks bar next to it with staff that look after you very well. Towel hire is available for 3 Euros per towel for the duration of your stay. Food is what you would expect for a holiday hotel, continental or cooked breakfast with tea/coffee & fruit juices on tap also fresh fruit, cream, yoghurt, loads of bread & toast all via buffet. Evening meals have 5/6 selections every evening & never the same thing on twice. Plenty of salad as well. Something for everyone. You don't have to enter or exit the hotel via the tunnel, there is a walkway down to the centre via a gate at the poolside but if you do want to go via the tunnel, there is a buggy available at the reception 24/7. All in all very good & better than a lot I've been in.

the hotel was smart and clean. the swimming pool was not heated. and we were disappointed to find no tea making facilities in the room. no English tv programs so when you wanted a rest for an hour nothing to watch except CNN news.not a very quite hotel you could hear people in the corridor and next rooms.Evening meal was a mismatch of food. Queue for soup same queue as main meal .sample meal ; salmon roast potato with gravy and mushrooms no greens unless you had salad.this was served by cooks not ourselves .

Room Tip: i think odd numbers face the back of hotel.

We arrived at the Conca Park hotel On May 12th our check in was quick efficient and friendly, our cases were brought to our rooms by a very pleasant porter, and we were very impressed with our room spacious, spotlessly clean, and a lovely view overlooking the garden and mountains, we were more than happy. We went half board and we were a bit concerned whether we would find something on the menu to suit us as i am embarrassed to say that we are not ones for trying different things, I must say every night we found something that we liked, there was quite a choice The restaurant staff were hard working ,polite and friendly. It was my husbands 65th birthday while we were there and my brother and sister-in-laws anniversary they made us a beautiful cake which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I must mention the two barmen Mariano and Rich who really made my husbands holiday as he enjoyed many a laugh and joke with them they were lovely. The hotel is perfectly situated for a walk into Sorrento about 10 mins to center, Sorrento is beautiful. Public transport is an experience you must try!! Amalfi Coast absolutely breathtaking, and nerve racking at times. The holiday was fantastic and the hotel perfect.and we would be more than happy to stay here again.. ..,

Room Tip: We found our room 327 to be quiet and lovely views.
