This is a very nice small hotel in central Sorrento. There is cool blue and white tile throughout and the room was a pleasant blue and white. Our room, #23 was a delight and had a lovely terrace that looked out onto the cliffs. The included breakfasts were very basic and the coffee horrible, but it was at least a little something to start the day. The desk staff is not there all night. They come in at 9:00 am and leave by 9:00 at night, but they were very helpful and helped us book some tours and adventures. Evidently the rooms differ as I read some of the other reviews, but our room was just fine. The bathroom, like all baths in Europe , was very small but you get used to it. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the upper floor away from the breakfast room which can be noisy starting at 7:3...

We stayed here 3 nights from 15th june 2012, my cousin found this hotel on web, we were bit dubious as it only had 2 star rating i would say do not discount this hotel on its star rating. We found it a spotless clean hotel (a point i count to be the most important when i'm travelling) .We had en suite facilities, shower cubicle itself is compact but still get a good hot shower, towels changed daily, A/C was programmed from room via a hand held remote, electric shutters on window and double glazed windows so noise was kept out and room could be kept cool we had no problem setting temps as we needed .No tea/coffee making facilities in room and no fridge in room we did ask at desk and it is something they have said they will look to invest in. There is no bar or lounge room that we knew of, maybe a reason it gets a low rating. Continental breakfast was very adequate .Young girl at desk was very helpful found out train/bus times for us gave us good instructions for stations as we were visiting Pompei, her English was excellent .Hotel was quite central and only few mins walk from main square of restaurants /bars .I personally would give this hotel a higher than 2 star rating on it's cleanliness alone.

This hotel does not pretend to be anything other than a reasonably priced block of rooms in a central location. The rooms (we had a king room) are small and barely had room for two cases. They are clean and tidy and the beds are comfortable. Some rooms have ensuite and others share a toilet. The rooms are closely packed together with poor sound insulation. It is a perfectly good place to stay but more useful as a stop over place rather than a weeks holiday.

It is away from the main road but is directly opposite the youth club in the church and the usual sound of teenagers reverborates through to the early hours. To get some sleep you had to have the window shut, but unfortunately the air con (at least in our room) would not activate unless you set it at 23C or above, so when it was an uncomfortable 21 or 22 at night and you turned it on hot air blew across the room until it got hotter! The system was preset and screwed to the wall so you could only adjust the temperature and could not select fan only, or a cool setting. This may be ok in August when outside temps are 29C but not in May.

We stayed here for 4 nights in May of 2012. I can find no faults with this hotel. It is VERY nice.

We had a large room, with a very comfortable king-sized mattress, and private bath. The A/C unit was an individual split-level model. Very quiet. You ( and not the front desk ) set the desired temperature with a remote control. There are electrically operated hurricane shutters, double glazed windows, and heavy curtains in the room; which effectively eliminate all external light and noise. Our room ovelooked the playground of an elementary school; but we never heard any noise, once the shutters were in place.

You must have an alarm, or ask the front desk for a morning wake up call, or you may sleep so soundly that you will miss the included continental breakfast, which is served until 10:00 AM.

The hotel is reasonably priced, and is a great value. English is spoken at the front desk, and there is a free internet terminal available for guests, if you do not want to lug your laptop around.

From the terminus of the Circumvesuviana narrow gauge railway from Naples, go out of the front of the station to the main drag, Corso Italia, and turn left. go through the Piazza Tasso, and keep going until you see the Cathedral on your left. The Via Sersale is a very tiny street, on your left, just past the Cathedral. You will see the hotel on your right. The walk from the train station should take less than 15 minutes, even if you are dragging large suitcases.

There is a large flat screen TV hanging on the wall, with almost 200 channels. Although I thought that I could hear someone in an adjacent room listening to CNN, the only non-italian TV channel that we could get was the all-news France 24, in French.

There are many restaurants within walking distance. Sorrento is beautiful, and makes a nice base for visits to Pompeii ( a must see site ), and the Amalfi coast. You can also visit these sites with Naples as your base, and save a lot of money - Sorrento is much more charming.

Don't forget to walk through the various lemon and orange tree groves, in Sorrento. The sensory experience is overwhelming.

Room Tip: Just make sure that you crank the shutters down at night, before you go to sleep. This will cut out...

We had a lovely 5 night stay in a fresh, quiet, and spacious room with balcony in the Mignon Meuble. This was a great value in a great location (ditto other recent reviews.) Serene Sorrento made a wonderful home base for exploring the peninsula and Amalfi Coast, but we also loved
roaming around Sorrento. The affordability of the hotel offset some rather pricey dinners!

We stayed at Mignon Meuble on our last night in sorrento Italy! We had stayed in positano for 4 nights before sorrento, and when we arrived at this hotel we had wished we has stayed here for the entire duration of our stay. The hotel was very clean, very friendly staff, nice decent sized room, free fruit in lobby for the taking, in room safe, nice shower and washrooms and most importantly very affordable. Was also nicely located to everything, 5 minute walk to train station, lots of excellent restaurants and good shopping close by, all in all it was amazing. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone traveling to sorrento, as we will definitely stay here next time we return. And on another note sorrento is a beautifully place.

We stayed at the Hotel Mignon Meuble for a week in March 2012. It is centrally located in Sorrento, a short (almost) level walk from the town centre.
The rooms were clean, bright and spacious, with television and telephone, but would have benefitted from tea/coffee making facilities. The en-suite bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. The rooms were cleaned well every day.
The hotel is in a fairly quiet location and we had a good night's sleep every night, although the hallways are tiled on the walls and floors and tended to amplify any noise - e.g. some of our fellow guests arriving back late at night. This was only proved to be a problem once - most guests seemed very considerate.
The breakfast provided was satisfactory, but only just. The breakfast area was presided over by a very pleasant and smiling lady who always gave us a cheery start to the day.
To summarise - this hotel is centrally located - it's very clean - would benefit from a few more facilities and better quality foods at breakfast time.
