We stayed at this hotel in May 2012. The hotel is was well maintained throughout. My only advice is to book a seaside view. We did not have a view, but had a terrace that looked at a wall as the hotel is built into the cliff. We could also hear the nightly entertainment as our room was just over the entertainment room but it ended at 10 so we didn't have trouble sleeping. The pool area was beautiful and overlooked the sea. There were several restaurants within the hotel, though we only ate breakfast here which had a wide range selection. Although we didn't have a room with a view, there were many places for us to enjoy a drink and gaze out over the bay. The walk into the center is about 10 minutes and an additional 5 down to the sea. Overall, a great experience.

Visited the Capodimonte in May and found it to be an excellent hotel. The service in the restaurant was first class the waiters were helpful and friendly. The freshly cooked eggs at breakfast were especially good. The whole hotel was clean and bright, the rooms were well decorated, bright and spacious. Angela kept our room in great order, it was clean and well stocked with toiletries. There was some noise but hotels can be noisy. There was however quite excessive noise coming from the room above us, it sounded like they were 10 pin bowling in the room but it is difficult for a hotel to control that. Some people are inconsiderate and if you are unlucky enough to be near them there is not much that can be done ( I did not report it). The views from the hotel dining room are stunning taking in the bay of Naples. I personally enjoyed staying at this hotel and I would use it again if I went back to Sorrento. The safes are 3.50 euros a day which is a bit expensive but the safe is large and you need somewhere to keep your money. The wine I thought was of average quality and the Vesuvio red is probably past its best. The beds were a little hard as mentioned in other reports but we found them comfortable enough.

Can't extoll this highly enough, and hard to believe it is not a five star hotel. The views and setting and construction materials, ( tile, marble etc.) are simply awe inspiring. We felt we were in a royal museum, and the experience could not have been any better, and so much more of a surprise than we expected from the price. We were just blown away, and far and away the best overall value and experience of any place we stayed the whole time we were in Italy. The views from the balconies of the bay of Naples will take your breath away. No one but the most churlish would find anything to nit pick about.

Room Tip: Can not recommend highly enough; a great overall experience.

The Capodimonte visit date 14th 21st May 2012. our room was superb with a balcony overlooking the bay of Naples, the staff are pleasant and curtious at all times the room was kept spotless with all clean towels daily.the hotel itself is relaxing with great views nice pools of which there are five, loads of marbel everywhere. Mainly adults here very little for children to do.breakfast is very good with lots of choice we were there half board dinner on the other hand was sometimes not very hot and sometimes lacked choice on one occasion a beefburger was classed as dinner however ther are wonderful resturants in Sorrento town.one tip watch your room tab, drinks here are not cheap there is a daily town tax of 1euro 50 per person to pay and the room safe has no refund on the charge at the end of your stay. in all though a very pleasant week and we would reccomend the hotel to others.

Room Tip: pay the extra and specify a room with a sea view well worth the extra

Not a bad hotel! Nice pool great views over the bay of Naples which was the hotels best bit! The food in the hotel was acceptable standard but rushed between courses and not a pleasant dining experience if you want to take your time and relax. We got a room under the stairs overlooking a sheer rock face which was disappointing! The sun never came into our dark room. The entertainment in the hotel was poor and if you are young may be in the minority! Good and bad points but just ask for a better view

I visited this hotel recently, and couldn't get over how wonderful it was! It was set in beautiful settings, the pool and dining room looks over the bay of Naples with a direct view of Vesuvius! The town of Sorrento was beautiful as well which added to the charm of the hotel. All the staff were friendly and always happy to help! All of the food we were served (we were full board) was of an extremely high standard and even catered for me as a vegetarian! The town is a couple of minutes away from the hotel, but the hotel is at the top of the road which enables for a peaceful and relaxing stay. I would recommend staying here to anyone, and will hopefully be returning soon myself!

Room Tip: I stayed in a room overlooking the bay and the pools and the view was spectacular, and surprisingly...
