When we booked our room we were aware that it would not have a sea view but we were not expecting to open our doors onto a grey concrete wall. Unfortunately this means that at no time during the day there is any natural sunlight - infact it was the worst "view" we have ever had.
The one "advantage" of the floor is that on Tuesday and Wednesday when there is live entertainment it is impossible to hear yourself speak in the room as the noise is terrible.
When we asked to move we were told the hotel was full (it was not) and the person on th reception was most unhelpful.
The towels for the pool were well worn and if you arrived after 4.00 pm the pool man had disappeared which meant that fresh towels were not available - not the sort of service I would expect.
The breakfasts were ok - but hardly original and there was no change in the offering all week.
Overall, an average hotel with upmarket aspirations which were not matched by the service.
A good tip - there is a small supermarket opposite the hotel which sells cold drinks and snacks - the service there was much better than in the hotel.
The public transport system puts ours to shame - you can be confident in using the trains and buses which are very regular and reasonably priced.More
