You will be hard pressed to find a Hotel in Sorrento with more polite, helpful and happy staff.Fabulous rooms with breath taking views and Tasty hot/cold varied breakfasts.
Simply put, after 10 nights we did not want to return home.We will definately be going back.

We would have liked tea making facilities and some English tv channels. But these are just minor things.

I am so glad we chose Hotel Belair to spend our Wedding/Honeymoon.They really made it for us.
Thank you again Francesco and Crew xx

We got a shock when we arrived as the only thing visible from the road is the lift on the roof of the hotel. The floors go from 0 to -5 as the hotel goes down the cliff face! The decor is way "over-the-top" lavish Italian style- many would say beautiful- and the view amazing. Across the water was Mt Vesuvius( we had a storm during the night and I thought it was erupting!) My husband who has a problem with heights could not eat dinner on the terrace, so be warned! our "standard"room was actually 3 rooms- we had an entry room with a sofa, a huge bedroom and a sitting room opening onto the balcony- all lavishly furnished. Our bathroom was also huge with a big bath.We ate in town most nights but the walk to town was a little far at night.the staff were very good and helpful. A tip- use the ferry for transport all along the coast.

Room Tip: all rooms have great views and balconies

My husband and I spent three nights at Hotel Belair recently and loved it. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were large and the balcony was large with AMAZIMG views of the Bay. The restaurant was excellent and the breakfast, included with the rate of the room, was very good with a range of options. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel was close to the center of Sorrento but far enough away from the business of the city. We thought Sorrento was a good location to stay in the it was a short boat ride to Capri and a good starting point when driving along the Amalfi Coast. We would stay there again.

Just returned from a very relaxing seven night half board stay at Hotel Belair on our honeymoon in Sorento. The hotel was exceptionally clean the room was a good size with fantastic views of the bay. The only downside to the room was we were directly under the restaurant and as all the floors were tiled throughout the hotel we were awakened every morning by the sound of the staff setting out the dining room dragging chairs and tables around ready for breakfast at 6.30 am in the morning, I believe this only effects rooms 107-111 not such a problem for myself as I awake early but no good if you prefer to sleep late. The staff are some of the most helpful I have ever met. The barman and the dining room staff are exceptional with service second to none. If I was to return in the future I would probably book bed and breakfast only as the food was very hit and miss, which is a great pity because if the food was inline with the quality of the staff and surroundings it could be a fantastic all round dining experience as the views from the restaurant are stunning. (Stick to the Italian dishes as the European dishes are in my opinion what let the food down.) Also there are several fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance and it’s good to try different places and the walk back up the hill makes you feel less guilty for eating as many calories. One thing I did like about the restaurant is that if you do want to dine out on an evening you can swap your evening meal for a lunch time meal if you let them know in advance if on half board basis. The hotel is perfectly suited for couples and perfect for our honeymoon. The Amalfi drive select trip is a must if you visit as it has some of the most spectacular scenery.

Just spent 2 weeks at the Belair and the hotel is fantastic. It is as good as many 5* hotels we have experienced. The room was large, clean, well decorated, air conditioned if required and had a good sized balcony overlooking the splendid Bay of Naples. The restaurant was excellent. Good menu choice, well presented and served by excellent waiters led by Michele, with Luigi, Mario, Giuseppie. The Gala candle lit dinner on Thursdays was excellent. Nothing was too much to ask of them - always a pleasant greeting and smiles!

Monika at Reception was particularly kind and helpful. In fact all the staff were excellent.

There are no 'real' beaches nearby. The pool became the centre for swimming.

No negative points at all.

Sorrento town was bustle and life just 10 minutes walk down a gentle hill.

We hired a car from Naples airport. On reflection we should have hired taxi transfer as the roads are chaotic! Very narrow with speedy motor scooterists wanting to give the unsuspecting English heart attacks!!. Public transport good, but crowded.

This was an ideal place for us to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We do not think it a particularly good resort for children if it is a 'beach' type holiday you are seeking.

Positano, Pompei, Capri and Caserta we well worth visiting.

A wonderful break at a first class caring hotel.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Hotel Belair during the first part of our honeymoon, and we could not have been happier with the hotel. The staff were so nice and helpful, the views from our room's balcony and pool were spectacular, the included breakfast was plentiful, and the price was right. Also, the hotel was conveniently located - about a 15-20 minute walk to the main shops in downtown Sorrento and also directly across from a bus stop (which would you bring you to downtown, the train station, Positano, etc.). Overall, we would certainly recommend this hotel to others. The only (minor) gripe was that the sun went down behind the hotel between 2 and 3pm, which made hanging out at the pool a bit chilly even though the outside temp was 90+. Regardless, we would stay here on during our next trip to Sorrento.

My wife and I stopped here in July 2011 for 2 weeks half board. All of the staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The room was very clean and the view from our balcony simply stunning. The quality and choice of food in the restaurant was first class.About a ten minute stroll into Sorrento gets you in the mood for a cold beer at one of the many fine trattorias or bars.We tried lots of different places and all were very good.Overall, probably the best all round holiday we have had.

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the bay of Naples and mount Vesuvious.
