“A Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay at the Belair”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We stayed here for two weeks in June and enjoyed every minute of it, in fact we would go as far as to say it was the most relaxing holiday that we’ve ever had. As others have said the view is amazing, the food excellent, the hotel very clean and the distance from the town centre just about right.

While the décor and fittings will not be to everyone’s taste the service is second to none. All staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful plus they will go out of their way to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Rooms were serviced early with frequent linen changes and towels changed twice a day on most days.

In summary if you want 5 star amenities and the latest gadgets then the Belair is probably not for you; however if you want genuine 5 star service from a lovely 4 star hotel then you won’t be disappointed. We will be back!

This was our second stay at the Belair. The staff cannot do enough for you and they are always smiling and helpful. The views across the Bay of Naples are absolutely stunning from the hotel and you wake up to the sun shining over the bay and then have breakfast on the terrace with the same view and its quiet and peaceful as the boats chug into and out of the port. Absolutely marvellous. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean. We always opt for b & b because there are lovely restaurants in Sorrento which is a short walk from the hotel on a slight incline. There is always such a choice that it is difficult to choose which one to eat in. Well done Belair, we will return!

Room Tip: All the rooms look over the bay, but I like the rooms where the bed is closer to the window so you w...

We arrived by taxi and it was great up until the moment we checked in and room not ready, I did ask if it was a superior room as this is the one I had paid for and booked a year ago, Yes the receptionist said, so ok we waited for our room. Then we were shown to our our room which I knew was a standard room with the smallest balcony looking to the side of a wall. I rang own to reception and told them I was not happy with this room and that it was not a superior , ok if you want a superior one we can give you one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were then taken to a superior one but after doing my research this must have been the basic superior I have ever seen, the furniture had seen better days, though the bed was good and firm. I paid over £2500 for this for one week will not do this again. Excursion was a disaster, booked through Thomson on line, on day of trip after waiting for over 40 mins outside hotel the rep came across the road and casually said that our trip had been cancelled and he knew this the night before. When I tackled him about not being informed he said well you booked this is the UK you need to sort it with them, unbelievable. Nice hotel and good location, food was lovely, but it just wasn't top marks just did not meet all our expectations.

Room Tip: Check which room you are paying for they tend to give you standard rooms first.

After arriving by private transfer our friendly welcome from staff also included aperitif and the stunning view from our window overlooking the Bay of Naples was priceless. This hotel is perfect location for Sorrento as you are looking down on Sorrento which is a short but picturesque walk downhill to the town, a very enjoyable walk. You are close enough for restaurants and shopping but don't have the noise and busy tourists from the ships when you come back at night to relax out on your balcony. We booked a superior room online and we had breakfast included which was a good array of cold and hot foods. We didn't find out until the second morning that they will cook eggs anyway you like and bacon. Wonderful hotel would highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Belair in May 2014. It was located close to major attractions, good restaurants and fun things to see in Sorrento. The Hotel staff were very helpful and the breakfasts were excellent! I highly recommend the hotel.

Had a great stay at the Belair, everything's already been said about the view and it's one of the reasons we picked this hotel, it didn't disappoint ! The view across to Vesuvius is beautiful, from your room, the restaurant and the bar with plenty of balcony areas to take it all in. The breakfast has everything you would expect from cereal to bacon and eggs and the restaurant staff are excellent as were all staff we encountered. It was about 10-12 mins to walk into town and an easy sloping walk back but the path is narrow in some places. If returning to Sorrento would definitely stay here.

when you first arrive and find just a roof top entrance you wonder what kind of hotel is this, but once inside you step out of the lift you are in one of the most clean, well presented hotels in the bay of Naples , all bedrooms have fantastic views of the bay and the “bad boy” of Naples.

The choice at breakfast and the service were second to none , all the hotel staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble, rooms were cleaned on time and very quiet

Restaurant meals were the right quantity and very well presented .

I can honestly say if i ever return to Sorrento i would stay at this hotel
