This is an classic old hotel near Sorrento next to a busy road along the coast. We chose it for the reason that is was available, reviews not bad and cheap. I am happy with the choice. The stay was good.
It is not in the center of Sorrento, but there is a free pendle bus about every hour that stops just before the old center wall (booking required). From there it was about 15 minutes walk through the center towards the harbor (our destination since we took a ferry to Capri island next morning).
The rooms are old style with high ceilings. Our room was facing the sea and a busy road. We were not happy with this since we especially requested a quiet room in our booking. But there was no other option, the hotel was full. And the isolation was ok so even there was road-noise, we still slept ok. Room was clean and plenty of space.
For dinner the hotel staff advised us a small local restaurant 10 minutes walking down the busy road (no sidewalk so need to be careful and watch out for traffic). This proved to be good advise as the restaurant was really fantastic. It appears small but the food and wine are local and very delicious and the staff is wonderful!
Breakfast in the hotel was a buffet, adequate. A lot of waiters walking around in classic attire which is nice to observe.
We were able to park our car for free on the hotel premises.

We stayed here for a week & paid extra for the sea view, I think what I class as sea view to the brochures is slightly different.. We have a room in the new block & we have a view of trees, volcano & can just see the sea. I would have complained but I'd rather see this view than the view at the back of the hotel.
The hotel itself is slightly tired looking but it's clean & good value. The food I was impressed with as we've been to Europe all inclusive before & the food normal lets it down. The evening meal is waiter service which we liked. The staff have been excellent & friendly. The evening entertainment is the same each night but Geno (who weve named) tries his best & played each night. Would also add great people watching with Ruth & Ed!!! The clientele is towards the older generation but we have enjoyed the stay & its good location, with free shuttle bus to sorrento town, which is very handy. We would come back to this hotel,

We stayed in the hotel all inclusive for 1 week recently and were extremely impressed with the hotel, which represents excellent value for money. The service from every member of staff we encountered was impeccable - they could not have been more friendly or helpful. The food is excellent - buffet breakfast and lunch (eaten on the terrace outdoors including barbecue and freshly cooked pizzas) and waiter service for dinner. Drinks at the bar were not just local fare but international brands and Perroni beer. The location is perhaps not ideal if you want to spend a lot of time in Sorrento itself - the walk into the town is quite hairy as there is no footpath for a good part of the way - but there is a regular courtesy shuttle bus from the hotel with the last one returning at 11.30pm. We will definitely return - highly recommended.

I have been travelling to Italy for about 24 years. My wife and I decided to return to Sorrento, where we went after our Silver Wedding. This was my first experience of all inclusive. May I say that in Italy the majority of hotel rooms are smallish in size and of Italian style, which to some English people may look a little sparse and tired. We have always stayed in 3 to 4 star Italian rated hotels so do know a good one from a bad one. The room we had was first floor, and facing a busy road. With the doors and shutters closed it was ideally quiet to sleep and had the benefit of air conditioning at no charge, which in Italy is unusual. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean, the food superb and extensive choice. The service from all the staff from cleaners, maids and waiters and reception staff was absolutely faultless. It is good old Southern Italy service. The drinks were of superb quality not any rubbish. Peroni beer, Gordons Gin, Schweppes tonic. Ice cream all day. I have had the best holiday for a reasonable price that I could have had . Well done to all at the Atlantic Palace.

We did not stay in the main building. At first we were not very happy as we were told that we het to stay in the older adjacent building. However we changed our views on it when we entered the room which was not too bad and saw the large terrace which a beautiful views of the bay ant mount Vesuvius. It was room 531
It was about 15/20 minutes’ walk to the town.

Arrived at Atlantic Palace about 9pm, quick check in service and straight to the restuarant. I agree that the rooms are rather tired looking and the pillows and bed not that comfy. We had to go to reception to ask for a maintenance man to come to the room as when you turned the knob to have a bath you could no turnback to empty the bath. Was quite disappointed that we had paid extra for a sea view room, our room was in the new block but the balcony was like sitting in a window box and you could only see a peep of the sea, i wish i had took pot luck and had a room in the main building so we could have at leased sat on the balcony in an evening and saved 80 euro's.
My husband was ill during the stay and the hotel did arrange for a doctor to call our room and speak on the telephone which was helpful.
As my sister in law had been to this hotel a couple of years ago and enjoyed it i have to say that i was expecting the food to be a bit better, i think after cruising holidays no foods lives up to the cruise ship standard of variety.
I loved Sorrento and Amalfi Coast, its stunning and would return but to a different hotel possibly more central where you could go a walk in the evening and there was some decent entertainment in the evening.

Room Tip: Dont bother booking a sea view room and you get a 2ft wide balcony

i don't like to complain but on the only negative, the walls are thin and i am a light sleeper and a few nights i was actually woken up by the guy in the next room snoring! now thats out of the way,

the positive.

Best all inclusive i have ever been to!!!!

the food. lunch bbq style with lovely pasta and salad bar, as much seafood as you want, also the pizza was one of the best i have tried while being in Sorrento. the food on a night time was fantastic, ordering off the menu rather than buffet style, there was roughly 7 starters and 7 mains to choose from which ranged from swordfish to quail to seafood risotto. it was of high standard!

the drinks. i only really drink wine and the white wine was very nice, the sparkling wine slightly sweet for my taste but still nice the red was just ok. some of the spirits tasted of germerline??? but the Amerreto, Gin, bailys and jagermaster were good.

staff. Every single person in this hotel, from front of house to the cleaners were ever so friendly and would try their best to help in any way! not a grumpy person in sight!

decor, some people say run down, yes there is a few scuffs on the walls but they can't paint your room everytime they have a new holiday maker, i thought it was classic italian style. are room was large with loads of storage and loads of coat hangers which was good and the bathroom was light and shower always had hot water! the bar /restaurant/lobby were nicely decorated and the terrace was pretty.

Walking. we were advised if walking to sorrento walk to oncoming traffic BUT coming back walk on the same side as you did down just if you hear anything coming to look and maybe stop. we walked this way quite a few times and never had a problem. the traffic is expecting people so they seem to drive nearer the middle to give you loads of space. we also walked back on a night time (2am) a couple of times and this was easier as the traffice was a lot lighter!

the shuttle bus. we booked the night before for what we needed the next day but on the odd occasion when we wanted to come back a bit early we just walked to where he parks up in Sorrento( just under th arch close to the centre) and asked if there was any spaces as normally he would squeeze you on.

all in all a really good holiday for sight seeing , its not somewhere you would want to stay to just sit by the pool as its far too small and not enough sunbeds and its certainly not geared up for kids.

would i stay again, yes if i was ever back in Sorrento !
