Cesare Augusto was the perfect place for a first visit to Sorrento, the hotel staff are fantastic, friendly and welcoming, rooms are what you need. Location could not be better with a short walk to the main square and good transport access. The hotel is so relaxing with fantastic views whatever side of the hotel you are, the roof top pool is stunning with views over the Bay of Naples, which is not bad for an afternoon drink!!!

Had a week's holiday here in August with my husband and twin 13 year olds and thought the hotel was great. Very good location as near Piazza Tasso and the train station. The staff were very friendly and polite and courteous, especially our waiter Nicola and Ugo the barman who made us laugh. The food in the restaurant was lovely with a good choice on the menu and waiter service at night and self service at breakfast time. Our rooms were cleaned daily and were spotlessly clean and spacious. We had rooms 418 and 419 and although facing a busy road there was little noise from the traffic once doors closed and a/c worked perfectly. The pool area was a suntrap with plenty of sunbeds and gorgeous views over the Bay of Naples.

Would definitely recommend and stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and had a wonderful experience. This hotel is conveniently located near the train station and Piazza Tasso. Step out the back door and you are two blocks from Tasso. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was a good size and comfortable. The pool area is nice and a good place to relax in the restaurant area. It is also not too far from the marina. I will definitely stay there again.

Our family had two rooms here, not adjoining. The garden was lovely, as was the lobby. The rooms were fairly spacious with nice balconies. Breakfast had a nice variety. The pool was a bit less than we hoped. The location in the center of town was very nice, although if I had to do it again I would choose one with a water view. The walls between rooms are VERY thin. We could hear EVERYTHING in the room next to us (their bathroom), including the person singing in the shower. Overall it was a good experience and the staff was very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay highly, the rooms were a nice size and each room has a decent sized balcony. The rooms are cleaned spotless every day and anything you need the hotel staff will try their best to do. The waiters were very nice people who made us feel very welcome at breakfast and dinner, they always had a smile on there face and service is incredibly fast, not to mention the excellent food. The hotel itself is in a very good location, close to the town centre with a great view from the roof and balcony. The only little problem we had is that the wifi wasn't too good in rooms towards the end of the corridors, but most hotels don't provide free wifi so we weren't too disappointed as it works fine in the lobby and on the roof top.

Very nice interior. Staff are friendly bad approachable. Free wifi although it could be better. Breakfast was good with a good international range of foods. Hotel is 5 minutes or less walk from the main town square. My brother and I stayed in a twin room (402) and the road that is behind the hotel is loud because of all the motor bikes. Garage parking is available at a cost.

Overall great hotel and I loved staying there.

As soon as you walk into the reception foyer you are taken back to he days when service counted.
From the check in staff to the cleaners, they all have a smile and are helpful. The rooms are clean, roomy and quiet. The winner for me was the dinning room. The waiting staff attend your every need, and the service takes you back to an era where quality was the norm. The decor is late sixties,(my opinion only) and you could imagine Cary Grant ambling in for a cocktail back in the day. Probably the best hotel we had in 21 days in Italy.
