I can't say this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in, but it is without doubt the best view we have ever had! We spent hours just watching the beautiful vista of Sorrento, the bay of Naples and Vesuvius it was spectacular. As has been said in previous reviews we found the room and the hotel to be very basic but it was spotless and the breakfast was simple and enough to set the day off, given the choice of fantastic places to eat in Sorrento we decided that not having a big breakfast was a good thing as it left more room for tasty nosh later in the day!

Room Tip: Lower floors are quiter and get a room with a balcony and sea view.

We were amazed when we arrived at street level and caught the lift down to reception. The hotel is elevated about 100 metres above sea level and has the best views. Our room was quite simple, but comfortable. Our view from the balcony was stunning - looking straight across the bay at Mt Vesuvius! The family who run the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the Settimo Cielo in Sorrento to anyone travelling to this beautiful part of the world.

Room Tip: Definitely book a sea view room - it's worth it!

The room is very simple (or, rather, poor), the breakfast is more or less adequate (considering 3 star), the pool is not bad (but small). Generally speaking, the hotel is without any charm, soul or character. Not recommended.

Room Tip: All rooms have sea view.

We found this hotel and booked because of the reviews on TripAdvisor now it is time to pay it forward. We stayed for 5 nights with a family of 4 and loved this hotel. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff (made up of family members) were extremely nice and helpful. The best part of this hotel was the view (and the price for this view was very economical). We sat on the balcony over and over and took the view all in. Although this hotel is located on a hill, we did not find the walk down or up (which brings you into the town) any issue. The breakfast was 'ok' - enough just to get something in your stomach before a busy day of sightseeing. They also booked our tour of the Amalfi Coast for us. Lots of restaurants in town, but if you make a right out of the hotel, walk on the road around the bend (a little busy with traffic), you have to eat at VerdeMare - we stayed 5 nights and ate there 3. Great food and great prices. The towels in the hotel are more like sheets, but they do the job and the pool is lovely but only open until 6:00 p.m. Although a little outdated, this hotel is perfect for location and price!!

Room Tip: nice to stay on 2nd floor because pool is on the 2nd floor.

This was our first time in Sorrento. The Hotel is fantastic with a great location & Views. It's only a short walk into Sorrento although coming back it is a bit of a climb especially in the heat but it helps burn off the calories of all the yummy food. (you can catch the bus)
The rooms where basic but very clean. Our room had a balcony which gave us breathtaking Views.

They have a beautiful dining room (and outside eating) However, it is only used for the continental breakfast, it was plenty of food. We ate in Sorrento most days and there is plenty to choose from.
Staff here are lovely and very friendly. The pool area is nice and clean and again has lovely views of Naples.

We traveled with two families and 7 children to Sorrento this summer. We were blown away by Settimo Cielo's incredible service, wonderful views and proximity to the town. There is a very convenient free parking lot right off the street, which accomodated our oversized vans.

The staff were very friendly and helpful making recommendations and helping us decide on and make reservations for day trips. The morning breakfast was a big favorite for all of us and the kids particularly loved the pool.

One thing to also bear in mind -- the roads in Sorrento are extremely narrow, without sidewalks. Many of the hotels are miles from the water and the town and require a bus (or a stout heart) to navigate. Settimo Cielo is above the town, but has a sidewalk and pathway that leads right into town, within a short a 5-7 minute walk.

All of the rooms seem to have great views over the water and the hotel provided us with great memories (and photos) that we will treasure always.

It's been a view years since I stayed here but I thought I'd write a review anyway. This was a fantastic hotel in a great location. It's only a short walk into Sorrento although coming back it is a bit of a climb especially in the heat but I did not mind that, helps burn off the calories of all the yummy food.
The rooms where basic but very clean. We did not have a room with a balcony but that did not bother us as we were out all the time anyway, but the view from our windows was breathtaking. All rooms as far as I know have this view.

We stayed on a b&b basis and it was the usual contintental breakfast which was enough for me to be honest. We ate out in Sorrento most days and there is plenty to choose from.
Staff here are lovely and very friendly. The pool area is nice and clean and again has lovely views of Naples.
At the time it was just me and my partner so this was ideal for us.
I am not sure I would go back but that is mainly because I we have 2 young children and the pool area would be too deep for them and not enough to keep them occupied. But it's great for couples.
