“You will need a car to stay this Hotel”
Reviewed 20 June 2011

I traveled a long distant to veiw the Villa Fiorita and was not able to stay here. The hotel is up on a mountain top, far away from any thing. I used the region bus and it very expensive. There are no store, restaurants up there. I had a room with the veiw of the Highway and some garden tools. The swimming pool was cold and dirty. Some of the customers I spoke with, did not like the hotel. I found out later, Booking.com would NOT cancel my reservations and charged me four nights, that was not fair.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were very impressed by the service and hospitality of our hosts. This is a small family hotel, high on the hill above Sorrento.

The views are magnificent. The early morning views of Versuvius and over Sorrento are stunning.

Car is the preferrable method of transport as this hotel is do far up the hills, however many people arrived by bus - the stop being right outside!

The room was clean and comfortable and was serviced daily. The owners could do no more to make our stay as pleasant and memorable as possible.

I stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days, it was fantastic, i had a brilliant time, i was there for sightseeing, great location to visit pompi , mount vesiuis and capri. It is in the mountains on a hillside, views are great, staff are fantasic, Giovanna, was very helpful, gave out time tables and advice on places to visit. bus stop is outside the villa, but the buses are infrequent, so check the timetable. It's a half hour bus journey into sorrento town. It is so peaceful, i would come back again in a flash, i wish i had time to visit the Amafi coast as people i met said it was beautiful.

We stayed here for several nights in a family room. Our children were disappointed the pool was empty when we were there but it probably was too cold to swim anyway. The owners were friendly and helpful with advice on local walks and transport. The walk into Sorrento took about 20 mins through lemon and olive groves. Quite steep downhill so best to bus back up! We had a hire car which made it easier to get to and from the hotel in the evening. The views from our room and balcony were stunning and the room and bathroom spotlessly clean. The hotel has an old fashioned feel but we liked that.

Room Tip: We asked for one with a sea view and balcony.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Fiorita. The best bit is the fantastic view of Vesuvius and the bay of Naples - from many of the rooms but also the sunbathing balcony. Great value for money for a stay in Sorrento, but be aware you need a car or take the bus like us. The bus is really easy (stops right outside), but cost ~£5 each way per person.

The proprietor spoke excellent English and made us very welcome. Rooms were fairly basic but clean with air conditioning. There a small bar with snacks in the evenings - but we ate out at nearby restaurants which were great. We were skeptical of being picked up and taken there (especially as there were six of us) but it worked really well. Pool was really good and breakfast - continental of course - was very good. Overall our stay was really good value for Sorrento.

We felt rather disappointed with our stay at Villa Fiorita. We luckily were only booked into the hotel for two nights. Unfortunately the room smelt rather dank, and the bed was very uncomfortable I could feel every spring. The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful of mount vesuvious, and the pool was pleasant although we would NOT recommend the pool side food - awful and expensive! We did feel as though we had not been given the full picture by the website, as it was located quite a distance from Sorrento town. The only possibility is to get the bus into the town, which unfortunately were not the most predicatable. I think the hotel by in large was fine, but not worth the money in comparison to other hotels that are much closer and near enough the same money!
