We are well-travelled, and this is one of the best hotels we've had the pleasure of staying in. The hotel is very attractive and well-maintained and the staff are helpful and pleasant. Our room was spacious with a very nice bathroom (large shower). The floors appear to be hand-painted ceramic tile. The bed is comparable to an American queen-size. The location near the Piazza Tasso is ideal, but our 4th floor room was quiet. And last, but not least, the breakfast is the best I've had in Italy during several trips to other locations. The buffet offers something to suit everyone. Sorrento is a beautiful city, and I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

The hotel location is ideal, close to the Piazza Tasso, to the ferry and to the shopping area. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is perfect. Room is very clean. We took the Junior Suite, and it was excellent. Good value for money.

Room Tip: The Jounior Suite is excellent

The breakfast is just outstanding (had to say that up front). Our room overlooked an old mill at the bottom of the old city wall - very picturesque. The location is only a short block from the main square in town, so you can walk anywhere you want to go sightsee. The room was clean, bright, and spacious - especially for Italy. Staff were very helpful. Highly recommended.

This hotel exceeded my expectations, even with its ranking on trip advisor. Everything that has been said positively about this hotel is correct. The service is friendly and understated, the staff go out of their way to help and they are all friendly. The breakfast is fabulous and the location is central to everything. The hotel staff will help you with any questions and any issues relating to your stay will be rectified. I would definately go back to stay at this hotel, and recommend to anyone.

We spent 3 nights at the Antiche Mura the last week of November, and it was the perfect place to base ourselves for exploring the coast. The setting is lovely- directly next to the Valley of the Mills with a beautiful view, and a block off Piazzo Tasso for easy strolling throughout the area. Breakfast was the best I've had in Italy--I especially loved the little cakes and cookies available every morning. The room was very clean and the bathroom had a tub- a nice extra in Italy where you usually just get a shower. Loved the beautiful tiled floors. We rented a car, and for 10 Euro a night were able to utilize their valet parking in their private garage. Very helpful to not have to hunt for a safe place to park the car in parking-limited Sorrento. The staff was very helpful, and always ready to answer questions or make suggestions. My only even slight negative was one I've had throughout Italy, and which I am starting to think is perhaps a cultural difference rather than anything else. The beds are fairly hard, and the pillows are flat and cardboard-like. But we managed anyway- the rest of the hotel made up for the slightly uncomfortable bed and pillows.

Room Tip: Next time, I'll ask for a higher room. We had a juliette balcony that opened almost directly onto the hotel's front terrace, so we couldn't leave our curtains open at night without risking other guests having a full view of us in bed.
