My daughter and I spent an amazing week at the Antiche Mura. We had a junior suite with its own entrance and large patio that overlooked a ravine housing Greek and Roman ruins. The staff are extremely kind and accommodating. We had accidentally only booked five nights and when we inquired about booking a sixth, they did so with no problem and at the rate we had secured months earlier. We arrived on a Easter Monday and were welcomed with a plate of fresh fruit, a chocolate Easter egg, and a bottle of champagne. The pool and garden area are breathtaking and the complimentary breakfast is wonderful. The service and atmosphere was appropriate for the cost. If we are ever
Iucky enough to come back to Sorrento, we will surely stay here again.

We had a wonderful 3 day stay in April, 2014. Location is excellent and fabulous Breakfasts. Rooms were pleasant and quiet. Close to dining and 5 minute walk to train station. All hotel staff were great, super friendly with advice on all schedules and activities. Spoke excellent English. Also, parked our rental car for us!

At the risk of adding to superlatives, I will. Service, location, overall ambiance are noteworthy. The staff, from front desk to bar tenders are friendly and extremely willing to go the extra yard to ensure your stay is perfect. The pool area/lemon garden is a veritable oasis; the breakfast extraordinary. Little things (perhaps not so little) are what set properties apart. We had a billing issue that we discovered only at check-in. The manager and I discussed it and he resolved it. I really cannot imagine any reason not to stay at the Antiche Mura - it is that good.

We stayed here over Easter weekend to celebrate our anniversary and birthday. We were upgraded and received a bottle of champagne for our anniversary (and the staff all wished my husband a happy birthday the day of his birthday)! The attention to detail and wonderful staff really impressed us! The garden pool and breakfast were a real treat! Great location... short distance ( even with luggage) to the Sorrento piazza, sorrento train station and the ferry port. Great value!

We stayed for a week over Easter.
The hotel is 4 star and first class for this level.
It is ideally situated in the centre of Sorrento within easy walking distance of train and bus stations, ferry port, old town and restaurants/shopping etc. It is set back from the road and adjacent to the gorge and we did not hear any traffic noise, although you may do at the front. There are hotels up the cliff road with spectacular views but you would be miles from town, so \i would far rather be here.
We had a standard room which was quite adequate for our needs, but there are a selection of other rooms and suites available, including some by the secluded garden which is full of lemon trees and has a lovely pool and little snack bar open in the season.
The hotel does not have a restaurant as such, but as there are about a million restaurants within walking distance this is not a problem. Bar snacks are available in the bar in the evening.
Breakfast was super, with a lovely view as well.
The staff where so friendly, nothing was too much trouble and all spoke very good English.
We would thoroughly recommend staying here

Room Tip: Rooms at the front may possibly be noisy. Some rooms have a mountain view, but not on the side away...

We stayed in one of the hotel spa suites and found it to be an amazing experience. The view down to the "valley of the mills" was very special. The location is only 50 metres to Piazza Tasso and restaurants are all a short walk.
The attention to detail really stood out from the arrival juice and champagne in the room to the Easter eggs in the room for the children made this a very special holiday.
The hotel grounds are beautifully manicured with lots of citrus trees.
Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel located one short block off Piazza Tasso in the heart of Sorrento. Within walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, train station, and of course gelato!

Airline woes required we move our vacation up one day. The hotel was able to accommodate the change for two couples on very short notice, and at the favorable rate we had secured 8 months prior!

Mario at the front desk provided superior service, including taking the lead on tracking down two pieces of our luggage that had gone missing with the airline. He focused on that so we could focus on our vacation.

The breakfast room and breakfast provided were the most lavish we have encountered in Italy. Absolutely wonderful. And, the public spaces are both beautiful and peaceful. Make sure you explore the pool area surrounded by lemon and orange trees. A little chilly in early April for a dip, but I took a refreshing swim anyway!

We had a Comfort Double room w/ Balcony. Very spacious room with all of the comforts and amenities you could want or need. Very clean and quiet. Balcony had territorial view including the ravine with historic mill building.

Great hotel to use as base camp for exploring Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast. We will absolutely be back!

Room Tip: Stay in the main building if possible, but away from the main street.
