We had a fantastic week at this hotel in July 2013 (have not found time to write a review until now!) and will definitely return. The staff are helpful, the rooms beautiful, the breakfasts fantastic; and for us, best of all, there is a lovely garden with citrus trees, plenty of sunbeds,a generously-sized pool and a little bar serving drinks and a good range of simple meals and snacks. The hotel does not have a restaurant but that was no problem for us, as Sorrento has a wide range of restaurants and cafes and the brilliant hotel staff were happy to make recommendations. It does have a lovely breakfast room with a little terrace, where you can enjoy an open air breakfast in the sunshine. We were given a large garden room for three people in a quiet corner overlooking the pool, which delighted our daughter, and were given complimentary wine and a basket of fruit. The garden and pool were great to return to after a day's sightseeing - and on a couple of days we just stayed there and relaxed and swam and ate - bliss! Everything was beautifully clean and well-maintained and .the staff were pleasant, friendly and always happy to help. If visiting Sorrento. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We really enjoyed our garden room overlooking the pool - we had chairs and a table outside and loved being able to walk out and jump stright into the water.

An excellent hotel only 100 metres from Piazza Tasso. Rooms are modern and comfortable and the staff are excellent. Breakfast buffet is substantial. The Pool is located behind the hotel and is surrounded by lemon trees. The bar there also serves good snacks.. There were plenty of sunbeds and lots of shade amongst the trees.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony overlooking the gorge

We enjoyed this property- Mario makes the best lemon granite- fresh lemons picked from the trees poolside. The hotel is near Tasso square close to shopping and the port. The staff here is very friendly and helpful

We really enjoyed our stay at the Antiche Mura. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The best thing, however, is the location. It's very central, and yet because it's at the end of a street, it's also quiet. It backs up to a ravine with a very interesting view and the hotel grounds were peaceful and a great place to relax (or take a dip in the pool!) at the end of a long day.

I also found the staff to be extremely helpful. They were a great resource for directions, restaurant recommendations, assistance with reservations, etc. The hotel has a very nice breakfast room with an excellent breakfast buffet, a great convenience before heading out to see Sorrento and other sites in the area.

We would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in August. The hotel itself is very nice and is a nice central location. We easily walked everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel is towards the end of the street so it is in a very peaceful location. The pool area is very nice and we did take advantage of just relaxing poolside one of the days we were there, which was lovely. The hotel staff were friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. We were in a room in the annex behind the pool, which was nice. My only complaint was the noise level of the rooms. I'm not sure if it is because they are completely tiled and echo badly, or if we simply had very inconsiderate neighbors, but the hallways were extremely loud! You could constantly hear doors slamming, loud voices, and people walking through the hallways. There wasn't a lot of street noise or noise from the pool, just mostly from other guests in the hotel. It made for some very restless sleeps and early mornings. The breakfast was very nice, though. So at least we had something to do when the noise woke us up! Also, the wifi wasn't great, slow and you have to log in again after not using it for 5 minutes.
