We stayed at this hotel from Oct 6-10 as our base location for our trip to the Amalfi Coast. The location is superb, right in the heart of Sorrento and close to the Circumvesuveum train station, lots of restaurants and shops. From the hotel, it was a 5 minute walk to the train/ bus terminal where we departed for our day trips to Herculaneum, Positano and Amalfi.

The hotel is very elegant and picturesque, situated above some old ruins and a valley gorge. There is a beautiful garden where you can enjoy the excellent breakfast indoors or outside and the pool area is meticulously maintained and surrounded by lemon and tangerine trees. Many times we returned from a busy day of touring and crashed out by the pool to recuperate. All the staff were very helpful and friendly (special mention to Mario, who tended the pool bar). The room was spotless and thankfully had a full size bath and shower (versus our Rome hotel). The view was nothing special, but expected as we only booked their standard room. There is free wi-fi service in the hotel lobby and by the pool.

Overall, an excellent hotel with a central location and an amazing staff!

the hotel is clean and very cozy, with courteous staff ready to attend to your needs as a traveler. we loved their restaurant recommendations that were off the beaten road, the Donna Sofia restaurant, Da Fillipo and the pizza at Da Franco. the hotel is close to the train station and the bus station so travel in and out of the city is rather simple. it is also located right off Plaza Tasso- the main square in Sorrento, with easy acces to all the shopping, more restaurants and the port (with boats leaving to capri, etc).

Stayed in the family room with 3 children and we all loved it and Sorrento.
Hotel is in the best location - close to the town square and railway station.
Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were all excellent and the rooms were made up twice a day.
And the pool and deckchairs were great also.

This is an excellent Hotel in the heart of Sorrento (on Tasso SQ and around the corner from the Trains/Buses). We stayed at the hotel in August this year and had a very memorable stay. The staff were very helpful, courteous & efficient without being over bearing. Rooms might not be very big but are adequate and spotless clean. The breakfast is really good, offering everything you could possibly want to start your day. The pool area is relaxing and beautiful and it is hard to believe you are actually in the centre of a busy Sorrento town square. We got married in Positano in August but based ourselves in Sorrento and had our wedding reception at Villa Antiche Mura (which belongs to the hotel). We organised everything with Michele from the finer details of the reception to arranging rooms for our guests to stay at the hotel. I can not recommend Michele, the hotel & the Villa highly enough. The Organising of the Wedding was so good and professional that we felt like we were the only couple who had ever got married at the Villa. Check out the beautiful pictures on the website. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I stayed here for six nights and highly recommend it. The entire staff/management are very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Our room (comfort) was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Each morning an extensive breakfast buffet (included in the rate) was served. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The pool area with it's lemon trees and a bar is very nice. In addition, this hotel has an ideal location. I don't think anyone would be dissatisfied with this hotel.

The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the train station. It is a newer hotel which we liked. Our room was a "matrimonial" rooom. The management knew it was our 30th aniversary and had a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us!! We had our own patio which has some vegetation around it making it somewhat private. We looked out to the pool area. We had to walk outside to get to our room, but this worked out just fine. The hotel is in a quiet area compared to those on the main street (vespas at night.) We did hear refuse pick up in the wee hours, but this was the only drawback. This hotel room had a large bathroom and even had a full size tub.

The staff at this hotel are very accommodating and this includes the staff who take care of the breakfast. The breakfast has many food options. The dining area is very nice and there is outdoor seating if you prefer. The food is well presented. We would stay here again. By the way, there is a pizza restaurant across the street with excellent wood-fired pizza (one night we were too tired to change, but hungry...enjoyed eating on our patio.)
