The hotel is in a convenient location, has beautiful views and is well kept up. My husband and I stayed for three nights the 15th-18th of May and we really enjoyed our stay.
The room we received did not have a view, but it was airy and clean with a tv and a nice big bathroom. The tile floors help keep the room cool, but also makes the hotel have a bit of echo so be prepared to hear your neighbor's footsteps. There is a lovely sitting area with white leather couches and a balcony with excellent views across the bay, so even though our room didn't have a view we would sit in the evenings and relax on the balcony.
Rivage is about a ten minute walk from the Circumvesuviana train station and the buses and about a five minute walk to the center of Sorrento. It has all the basic amenities -- wifi, tv, hair dryer. Breakfast was included. It consists of various cakes, pastries, bread and cheese, coffee/tea, juice and hard boiled eggs. It was nothing particularly special, but it gets the job done.
Considering how overpriced Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast is, Rivage Hotel is a good pick for those travelling on more of a budget. Its clean and professional atmosphere is a comfort in a rather busy town.More
