Scooter heaven or scooter hell, you decide-they are everywhere, even riding on the pavements, but how would it sound if you got run over by a miniature ferrari?parts of the road are closed of an evening to let the people promenade in their finery, this includes a couple of local kids in their electric toy ferrari!

It was nice but always busy when we travelled so we couldnt enjoy a quiet romantic stroll manouvering our way through the people.... not great as this is the main street to get to all your destinations and you cant hold hands with hubby its that busy... not great as we were on honeymoon. It did get quieter in second week as some italians returned north and most shops then shut down during the hot hours and then re-opened in evening. Not as many boutique designer shops as we were led to believe... only found three deisgner shops.

Be warned evening in summer are manic.... imagine doing you xmas shopping in London high streets on xmas eve.,.... thats how busy it is every single night and italians just stop in the middle of the street in front of you, blocking the street making it worse.

It was interesting tho to see all of the italians put on their best clothes and literally strut up and down. Find a bar where you can watch this tradition.

Corso Italia, Sorrento's main street is studded with some fantastic shops to suit all tastes and pockets. There are also a few cafes along the way.
