Family very warm hotel runs by Johanna. Beautiful, large, clean room. Typical italian breakfast. Lovely views. Helpful reception. All day shuttle to the city center. One of the nicest hotels we've had in Italy.

We stayed at this hotel as part of Trafalgar tours. It's really in the middle of no where. It's on a hill far from the town center and not easy to go for a walk anywhere. The room was nice but the bathroom bathtub had no shower curtain or glass to stop the water from going every where. After checking in we went to the front desk and we told them about missing shower curtain and we were told this is normal for European hotels. I told them we've traveled to many towns and cities in Europe and this was a first. They said to call the front desk and someone would mop the floor after we had taken a shower.
Also the room was facing the back, so we had a view of the vertical rocky hill and nothing else. Not too impressed.
So we took a shower and the bathroom floor was really slippery with water all over the place. We called them up and they took 30 minutes to come by but they go it mopped up. Next morning, same thing happened and we called them to let them know. We went for breakfast, and came back, and still no one came to mop the floor. But we left for the day and we knew someone would come by to clean up.
BTW - breakfast was probably the worst out of the whole tour in Italy.
That evening after tours we were sweaty so we took another shower and called front desk. This time no one showed up. I guess the knew by now that we'd be checking out the next morning so they did not want to send anyone. The floors were really slippery that evening but we had no choice but to let it dry over night. After next morning shower we didn't bother calling them since we were checking out.
If I ever visited Sorrento again I'd never stay here. And since no one else would stay here I bet this is why Trafalgar books here.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel with our young daughter for four nights and had a very nice time. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating - Giuseppe, the head waiter, is a particular delight! I think he made our stay.

We had a room on the first floor, but with a sea view and it was amazing. You can look out over the water as well as see Mt. Vesuvius. The rooms are clean and moderate size, particularly for Europe. Some have noted that the hotel needs updating but its not at all run down. Like most places, it could use a bit of sprucing up, but we didn't find it to be an issue at all. And we're used to American hotels.

The property is very peaceful and tranquil. As others have noted, the hotel is not in the city center but up the hill toward the Amalfi Coast. There is a shuttle bus for the hotel but it does not run often enough to provide complete flexibility. There is a SITA (city) bus stop right outside the hotel so if you can decipher the bus schedule, you can take that, but in Italy you can't count on things running on time or appearing when they are expected. You could walk into town, but the road is very narrow, cars and buses come speeding fast and there is not much of a sidewalk for most of the walk down. I wouldn't have wanted to try it, particularly with a young child.

Having a restaurant in the hotel is great. Its so convenient to not have to worry about getting back into town for dinner if you don't want to, particularly after a long day of sightseeing. The food in the restaurant is quite good and reasonably priced. The wait staff are very accommodating and so much fun.

Wifi is only in the lobby area and outside on the patio. This isn't uncommon in Italy so although not as convenient as having Wifi in the room, it isn't much of a problem. The relaxing patio area makes sitting out there worthwhile.

Ultimately we're glad we stayed here. It would have been more convenient to be in the city center and would have saved us a bit of time and given us more flexibility, but the hotel was nice, clean, the staff wonderful and all for a reasonable rate.

We recently here on a tour of Italy with Trafalgar Tours. This was a small, quaint hotel in a peaceful setting. It was a nice stay after the busy city of Rome

Not only would I try to stay there again but if I could I would actually live there in the hotel.I've never stayed at a hotel where you could really RELAX.No pressure,no small talk,no one with their hands out, nothing that the tourist usually faces.Nothing but pure pleasure.Love that place.

Room Tip: All you have to do is ask and it's yours.
