Transfer from airport went smoothly porterage arrangements could have been explained better.
Had basic room on 1st floor, no balcony, above reception. As a result we had nowhere to sit other than on bed. We could hear all conversations outside plus clack clack of heels from upper floors. Every time a toilet was flushed in a room above we heard a torrent of water through the pipes.
Bed was comfortable and sheets were cleaned.
On our first visit to breakfast we were greeted by waiter rapping his watch as breakfast had finished 5 minutes earlier. Breakfast was poor. Sloppy scrambled eggs, a toaster that didn't brown bread, dark dishwater described as coffee and tepid water for tea. Gave up after 2 visits.
Evening meals were better with choices for first and main courses there was always salad available. Drinks were expensive.
The hotel doesn't take cards and drinks are signed for. Our bill was correct but it was interesting to read the earlier comment about the city tax which for us was 21€ for the week.
The location saves the hotel the harbour area has a number of bars and restaurants.
All in all it's put us off going on a hotel holiday for a while.More
