Perfect place to relax and unwind after a stressfull cold winter. The staff are fabulously helpful and the rooms/ interior design is superb. Very nautical, but works so well. The breakfast is delicious with coffee, pancakes, eggs, bacon and lots of yummy pastries. The only fault I could find with the hotel was that we were so relaxed we didn't leave the sun terrace for days on end! LOVED and would highly recommend!

Room Tip: Try Il Buco for a fancy meal or special occassion

We had an enormous room overlooking the bay and woke up every morning to an amazing sight! This was a beautifully decorated and well-situated hotel. Staff was helpful and made good recommendations for meals, sightseeing, etc. Great breakfast buffet and Two quibbles: room was overheated, so we ended up having to open the window to cool things off because we were told that room temps were centrally controlled (rather than being controlled from within the room). Internet service cost $ and was not a strong signal. Still, those are pretty minor things--we took care of the room temp and we shouldn't have been on computers anyway.

A perfect holiday in a perfect hotel with a feeling of being at home--if your home is designer-chic. One of the best we've ever stayed with. Beautiful rooms, beautiful view (!), friendly, helpful young staff. And a breakfast buffet that was varied, delicious, and plentiful. An outstanding hotel!

I stayed at La Minervetta in March 2011 as I was getting married in Sorrento, and the hotel really was the icing on the cake!

The staff are genuinely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The staff helped answer lots of questions we had from where to get a manicure in Sorrento to recommending local restaurants, to calling my wedding planner for me and more!

The hotel interior design is absolutely stunning, I will be stealing some inspiration for my new home! I stayed in the blue bedroom, and it was exactly as it looks in the hotel website photos, absolutely perfect! The view over Sorrento and over the sea to Mount Vesuvius is priceless.

The breakfasts are amazing, there is a huge choice of teas, coffees, fresh fruit juices, cereals, fruit, cakes, bread, ham, cheese, freshly made ommelettes an freshly made pancakes.

I have noticed a few people mentionned the walk to the town, however I timed this and from the hotel to Piazza Tasso (Sorrento's main square) it took me 10 minutes. I would actually say it is better to stay in a hotel slightly out of town so you can enjoy the beautiful views of Sorrento and Vesuvius from the cliff tops on the walk which you would not experience if you stayed in the centre of town.

In summary, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, and if you can stay there - do!!

Stayed here for 1 night in February to visit Pompeii. This little hotel is absolutely stunning!!!!! Absolutely nothing to complain about. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are AMAZING!!! Our room overlooked the marina and had windows all around with the most amazing views. If you want a funky hotel that is a short stroll into the centre of town-about 5 minutes-you will not be dissapointed. Would defintaley stay here again-only longer this time!!

If your going to stay in Sorrento then you have to stay here.....the rooms, room 1 for us, was lovely the furniture is so beautiful...very clean...the view amazing and you cant stop looking at it. Breakfast was great and was like being in a sweet shop with so much to look at and tempt you. The lounge area was great for a pre dinner drink with so many books to look at. The walk into/back from town is not a hassle at all....walk down into Sorrento for dinner and the walk back is up a slight hill but with a beautiful Italian ice cream in hand will ease it for you. The staff..i cannot speak highly enough of them....and the VIEW...did i mention the view!!! stunning! The only thing is that during the Winter/Fall season so much is closed so the shopping is limited in this area and on Capri ( very expenive to get there and to eat/drink/bus ) Go at the start or end of the summer season to enjoy at its best....BUT DO GO!!!
