“Amazingly perfect”
Reviewed 29 December 2013

We went to Sorrento for our honeymoon and Minervetta was a great choice. The rooms and the view are amazing and very romantic. You can sleep with moonlight and wake up with the sunrise and the beautiful sea. And the employees really nice and helpful; their advices for restaurants or boat trips are quite good. Room service and cleaning is also perfect, they clean rooms twice a day. The price is quite high actually but it is worth it. Also there is no dinner service in the hotel, there is just breakfast. But also there is bar that you can order any drink or cocktail and enjoy the view. Overall, even its price is high, you should stay there at least once in a lifetime.

This hotel is just simply amazing. It's more beautiful than the professional pictures. The staff is polite and helpful, they helped with ordering food, booking tours, etc...

The breakfast is amazing, it's like walking into your friend's kitchen but with a lot of food. Don't think about it, just do it. There are so many pleasant surprises in the hotel and I would prefer not to give away any of them. We stayed in room 9 and loved the view..

I have had the pleasure of staying off and on in Sorrento for the last 6 weeks staying in 4 different hotels (as they were closing for season). My last stay was at Maison La Minervetta and by far was the best property. This stunning boutique hotel over-looking water and city had excellent staff, food, etc. It's location to town (a short walk) was perfect to walk off all the good food and wine. The hotel decor was fun and lively which we appreciated. Best hotel to date in Italy.

Room Tip: You cannot go wrong. All views are spectacular

Maison La Minervetta was my favourite hotel during our 17 day trip to Italy. The hotel is in pristine condition, the staff was helpful and friendly, rooms were spacious and comfortable. We would have stayed longer if time had permitted, and we would definitely recommend to others (and come back again). My only (minor) complaint is that it's a bit of a walk into town, but it's a lovely walk, so even that isn't a problem.

All that I can really do is to echo all of the other comments on here, as they say it all about this place. From the superb location and views, the interesting decor, the cleanliness and size of the rooms, the superb breakfasts and the the friendly and helpful staff, there is absolutely nothing in this place that is short of first class.

Room Tip: All of the rooms have superbs views and, being below the level of the road, are very quiet

My wife and I stayed 3 very good nights at the Minervetta. The place has extraordinary views complemented with "movie set" like interior decoration. It seems that this hotel was refurbished by the grandson of the original owner who had a restaurant here. We really enjoyed exploring the phenomenal library of books while enjoying the view of Vesuvio and the bay. With November weather, it seemed to constantly be changing. It's important to know that there's a 10 minute walk into town for restaurants etc. that can be a little hair raising with cars/Vespas speeding by and you had best not have a fear of heights walking back ;-). There is more service than is immediately apparent. We learned a little late that you can ask for beverages etc. during the day and the staff does their best to comply. Getting here might be a bit of an ordeal. We booked a car & driver to pick s up at the Napoli train station (100 euros) and it was well worth it. Others wrestled with taxi to Vesuviana to train. We used the same driver to take us back to the train on our departure and included a 2 hour stop at the Naples Museum & lunch....well worth it (but that's another review). If you don't mind the walk - definitely stay here.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms have the beautiful views...

This hotel is stunningly decorated, has phenomenal views from the terrace, sublime breakfasts, brilliant staff & and is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of town. The studio suite is tucked away and feels like an exclusive romantic retreat. There is limited parking but it wasn't ever an issue for us. We loved our stay here and would visit again in a heartbeat.
