After reading up on lots of rave reviews we decided to stay at la magnolia. This place was located perfectly in the heart of sorrento and was so clean and well kept. If you need wifi the access is not all that great. Recommended stay.

This was a great choice, a small Hotel right in the very heart of Sorrento, spotlessly clean, good hot shower, comfortable beds, breakfast on the terrace shaded by lemon trees. The furniture is high quality inlaid wood that matches the interior doors, the French windows with solid wooden shutters kept out light and noise but allowed air in when the glass door was open.

Someone wrote about the thin towels, they are actually good quality cotton but if your used to typical heavy towels then they are a bit different, but they are good quality and again spotlessly clean and pressed.

The Hotel is empty at night, you get three keys, your room, the front door and the garden entrance gate and you can come and go as you please.

we loved it, an excellent choice

Room Tip: See if you can get a room opening onto the terrace

This small b&b is a gem, we were lucky to find it.
During our stay (3 nights) Carlo, the owner was very kind, he gave us lot of information about Sorrento and take care of us during or stay. He had always a few nice words to us.
Magnolia is in the centre of Sorrento close to the station, port and old town.
You feels like to be in a small four star hotel.
Room is decorated with nice, traditional furnitures, bathroom is nicely decorated too, spotlessly clean.
Breakfast with a good coffee on the terrace, with view to the lemon trees.
When we go back to Sorrento,we would definitely stay here again.

My finance and I spent 3 nights at this lovely B&B whilst in Sorrento looking for a wedding venue. It was perfect for what we needed which was a good base to explore. We knew we would not be spending much time at our accommodation so did not need the amenities of a hotel.

The B&B is in an excellent location if you want to be in the centre of things - right off the main square and walking distance to the bus station.

Our room was clean and spacious, much bigger then you'd expect from a B&B.

One of the main plus points of La Magnolia is the owner Carlo who is extremely hospitable and informative. He is very approachable and really does make you feel welcome.

The cost of the room is very reasonable so this is an excellent choice if you're on a budget!

We immediately told ourselves 'good job' when we arrived and saw the accommodations. It is quaint, spotless, nicely decorated, friendly and informative innkeeper, beautiful furnishings and bathrooms. The innkeeper provided local maps, information, directions, umbrella on our rainy day, and a wonderful breakfast on the patio. On the rainy morning, he delivered our breakfast on trays to our rooms. We had a car that he whisked away and parked for a reasonable fee. Very convenient to shopping, sights, restaurants and the train/bus station. We easily took train to Pompeii, Naples and the bus to Amalfi. We were a family of 5 and the accommodations suited us perfectly. We are from Michigan, USA.

Room Tip: We had the two rooms behind the front desk; they were private and yet the five of us could easily be...

This B&B is situated right on Sorrento's main square, making it convenient for you to explore almost everything on foot. The rooms are nice, quite spacious and are kept clean every day with fresh towels. The furniture is "traditional", beautiful and decorated with inlaid wood, but need an update, at least in the room where we stayed, where the bed was really creaky. Wifi signal was good and free. Cannot comment on breakfast as we did not have one. Not a hotel's fault but parking in the car-park next to the hotel is very very expensive, even by Sorrento standards. The hotel operators are really friendly and will sincerely try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We would recommend La Manoglia and definitely will come back when in beautiful Sorrento.

We stayed in la magnolia for two nights last September before moving down the coast for our main holiday! Although it is literally off the main square once the gates to the property were closed it was very quiet. The standards rooms are clean and adequate for a short stay but if you wanted to stay longer it's worth upgrading. The breakfast is expensive but if you don't know your way around sorrento probably worth paying for. We know sorrento well so just went to our usual haunts for coffee & croissant! Absolutely recommend this small but perfectly situated guest house as a base for exploring the area!
