We booked this apartment via another Company and one of the main reasons for choosing this property was the advertised us of the pool in the communal gardens. This however, was not the case and although arrangements were made for us to use a nearby hotel this was not very convenient. We suffered no hot water the first week of our stay and were told by Daniela the Manager that the problem was sorted. However, despite this we suffered cold water twice during the second week. The location is convenient to the centre of the town but the road is extremely noisy all day and all night long, restful sleep was difficult. When our apartment was cleaned the kitchen bin was not emptied and the tea towels not renewed. The Wi-fi did not work and when we spoke to the Daniela about this she offered us the use of the office computer but it didn't work on that computer either even when Daniela herself tried to get a signal.

This place was amazing. It's an upscale apartment that was turned into five lovely rooms with private (and really very nice) bathrooms, five minutes walking from the center of the town. The girl who operates the property is amazingly helpful and welcoming and speaks almost perfect English. She was so accommodating from the minute we walked in until we checked out and helped set us up with dinner, shuttle, and tour reservations. She was also a great source of information. The rooms nicely appointed with new clean furniture, very good linens, plenty of towels, cable tv, a mini fridge, good lighting, and clean floors, walls and rugs. There is very little noise at night, only that of the cars passing down on the street - we were there all weekend and didn't hear a single honk. Since it's a nice apartment complex, there was no noise from neighbors ever. The beds are comfy and there're extra pillows stashed away, and *so* much storage space. Breakfast is offered, though we didn't order it, and every restaurant the she recommended to us was fantastic and friendly and reasonable prices. When one of our tours messed up and didn't pick us up, she personally came out to help us and talk to the travel agency and refunded our money for the tour. Absolutely stay here - amazing value for the price! Fantastic location, central but far enough away from the loud part of the town.

We enjoyed our stay at Relais Amore very much. The location was convenient, close to the old city and the train station from where the buses run to the coast. We had a very nice room with a small kitchenette as well and beautiful balcony. The breakfast was served near by to a cafe with very nice staff, they served me every morning the cappuccino with a big cocoa heart on it.The staff at Relais Amore was helpful and very nice.We will definitely book in again if we will visit Sorrento again.

We were in this hotel for 10 nights so I feel like we definitely got a feel of this place.

So, first to focus on the good parts: it was a clean place and the owners were friendly. The room would be a decent size for 2 people, but I really would not recommend having a triple room because we were crawling all over each other. Location was pretty good - about 5 minutes to the train, a minute to the city centre and 10 minutes to the port.

Now all the not so good parts: firstly, when we got here, it took us a while to find it - no problems, we did in the end. Then we stood outside and rang the doorbell for 5 minutes to no answer. Luckily, I had bought an Italian sim a few days earlier, so I called the number and was told that someone would be there in 5 minutes. We were met and checked in and everything seemed okay.

Then, after about 2 days, we realised the fridge in our 'kitchenette' (a stove with two fires, a sink and a bar fridge) wasn't working and that our food was off. We complained and the freezer part of the bar fridge was defrosted so the fridge was working again. We then went out and bought new food.

I think about 6 days out of the 10 we were there, after 'housekeeping', the toilet paper wasn't refilled, the garbage wasn't taken out, and the balcony door was left open. We had to knock on the manager's door to get more toilet paper, get the rubbish taken out and request for them not to leave the balcony door open because it is a shared balcony and we were leaving valuables in our room (they still kept leaving it open). We were told on about the 8th day that taking the rubbish out should be our job which was definitely not true as this was the first we had heard of it, we had no idea where to put it because we hadn't been told, we had no garbage bags to replace for the bin and the bathroom rubbish was emptied daily - it was just the kitchen rubbish that wasn't.

Our towels often weren't replaced even though we were told they would be every two days. Sometimes they would fold them wet in our bathroom, or sometimes they would take our dirty ones we left in a pile and not replace them with clean ones until we knocked on the door and requested. hmmm

What else - our soap got thrown out - twice - soap we bought. We complained about it the first time and they apologised, and then did it again. It was obvious that it was ours too, because they didn't supply the cakes of soap that we were using.

Also, the room was so loud. The traffic noise kept us up at night and woke us up in the morning. Also, the apartment above us were renovating and the noises that came out of there - albeit only between 9am and 4pm - were so loud you couldn't have a conversation. Also, due to the renovations plaster started falling on our balcony - we didn't feel too safe after that!

Beautiful rooms but too loud, because of the heavy traffic.
Nice service, but the breakfast could be better.
The location was very central .
No TV programms, (just one) no internetconnection, the hairdryer was not very good.

Good evening and thank you for your comment!

Regarding the comment we would like to make some specifications:

1. In the room rate is included the traditional breakfast and on request on exra cost we offer the continental breakfast as well.
2. The television has more than 200 chanels, maiby our guest did not now how to use it and they did not asked.
3. There is the WI-FI conection in every room, it must of been a problem of signal in that day or a tecnical problem from their PC.
4. The hairdryer is a normal one.

Best Regards
Antonio Amore

The hotel is in a private appartment block and is a very large appartment broken into smaller rooms. The rooms are very well done out and are very clean. Our room stated a city view, it did have a view but I would proberbly have said it was more the road and mountains! Being close to the road you do get a lot of road noise which continues throughout the night. We reserved the double room with extra single but upon arrival where informed that we needed to contact the hotel before booking to request the extra bed? The traditional brackfast is served in your room (and is quite small). This is a great hotel if you are just looking for a base and are only planning on sleeping in your room. It is in a great position for the centre of town only a short walk. Our friend has the single room which was very small - a bed, small wardroble and a bathroom which is separated from the bedroom by a curtain.
