This is my second time staying at this hotel, and it was just as I remebered it. Amazing locaion, beautiful hotel, very well kept, large rooms.....PERFECT! The added bonus of this trip was the time of year - with the weather in the high 20's almost 30 degrees each day, we took full advantage of their roof top pool and sun deck. This was the perfect oasis after a long day on our feet. We spent a few afternoons up there, taking in the sun with a good book, and an afternoon nap ;)

Will definetly return and recommend this hotel to everyone.

We were here for a family vacation and had 5 rooms. All the rooms were spotless and spacious. Several had terraces. Overall a lovely place for a vacation. The rooftop bar was a great place to unwind between touring and dinner. The view is amazing. Breakfast was a bit dull.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less noise from the restaurant downstairs.

Excellent location close to restaurants & bars. Was only disappointed by having to ask for items to be topped up at breakfast When they had run out - which sometimes didn't happen. Overall a lovely place to visit for our honeymoon.

A four star hotel serving only instant coffee at breakfast? And orange squash rather than orange juice? Guests unable to buy a glass of wine from their roof terrace bar, only a half bottle? Really? We booked and paid for a deluxe double room that should (according to their website) have been wide and with a King size bed (or twin beds). For the first 2 nights out of 5 we were in room 306...the room was tiny, no wardrobe and had a small double bed. We were then moved to room 304 (the type of room we had booked as a deluxe double). This was twice the size, had a wardrobe and a King size bed. The discount offered and given for the first 2 nights was paltry and did not compensate. The staff did not handle this well. I'll be taking this further upon my return home.

Room Tip: Insist on viewing the room before you book...if you cannot do this go elsewhere. Please don't b...

Dear Sir,
thank you so much for your reviews, after your claim to have a discount or you make a bad review on tripadvisor, we decided to not accept any compromise with this kind of proposal.
We can't please everyone but many of our dear guests enjoy the stay in our hotel and please give us another chance to improve our performance.

Returned to this hotel for the 7 th time. Bedrooms are spacious and kept very clean by the two cleaners who work there. The breakfast is typical Italian with ham , cheese, eggs, (bacon and sausage Italian style) and lovely lovely cakes and tarts and quiches , all served by Vittorio who is an elderly Italian waiter who is always pleasant and willing to help.I love his " o yez". A plunge pool has been built on the roof and is looked after by Antonio who also serves the drinks up there. He also is very nice and speaks really good English. The reception staff are also very helpfull. Emmanuella can be very proud of her hotel. It has never let us down . We love it. Can,t wait to go for the 8 th time next year. It is also really central for Piazza Tasso which is the main square in Sorrento .This is only my opinion but I hope it is usefull for visitors intending to go to Sorrento.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms on 2 nd and 3 rd floors.

Just returned from a trip to Sorrento and a lovely stay at Hotel Palazzo Guardati. We are two women who traveled alone, and always felt perfectly safe during our stay. Cannot praise this charming hotel highly enough!! Maco and Magda at reception were most helpful . Our room was delightfully decorated and quiet. We enjoyed afternoons during "siesta" reading and admiring the views from the roof-top terrace. The Hotel is only steps from the main square (Piazza Tasso) and convenient to many fine restaurants and shopping. Would certainly book again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid September as my girlfriends cousin was getting married in Sorrento. The location really can't be beaten if you're looking for somewhere in the centre of town, near to all the restaurants and bars etc..The hotel is located in a small narrow alleyway where you really do feel that you are part of the italian life and culture, also at the end of the alleyway are two very good restaurants.
The rooftop bar is great for a quiet drink and whilst the pool isn't huge it serves its purpose. The views of the bay of Naples, Versuvious and the surrounding hills from the roof are also fantastic.
The rooms are nicely appointed in fairly typical italian style and whilst the breakfast is again fairly standard fayre and perfectly adequate but it's nothing to get too excited about.
Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful especially the guy at the roof top bar; he had overheard us winding up my girlfriends son about Versuvious erupting, so when said son asked him when it last erupted he replied; yesterday, the day before, oh how we laughed.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The odd reviewer here moans about the lack of a view or balcony but you really need to understand that you tend not to get these things in hotel rooms in cities or towns such as Sorrento.
It also goes without saying that there is noise at night, afterall this is a very central hotel, however with the doors shut it didn't disturb us at all and we were on the second floor.

Fantastic stay, just wish it had been for longer.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor to minimise noise from the streets.
