Stayed here for 5 nights and lived the place, right in the heartbeat of Sorrento but the pool on the roof was the perfect escape when needed.breakfast was typical Italian hotel standard without being exceptional..definitely recommend this place..

The hotel is in a good location, fantastic roof terrace and pool, perfect for relaxing away from the town. I found the staff on reception to be quite unfriendly, verging on snobbish - just because I carry a backpack doesn't mean I'm less worthy of staying in a hotel. Plus, when I arrived, after having made an advance booking for a single room, I didn't like the look of confusion that I was on my own...yes, a girl with a backpack staying in a smart hotel by herself! I am used to the stares being alone in restaurants, but this was not appreciated when checking into a hotel. On a positive note, the waiter for breakfast was really lovely, friendly and funny and an asset to the hotel.

I stayed here with my mum back in June 2011 and it was my first ever experience of Italy. The hotel was superb, the staff were friendly, warm and inviting, and even now I can still remember Vittorio at breakfast every morning, singing and telling us to eat, or "mangiare" (apologies if I have spelt that wrong). The room was meant to be a twin, so the next morning they hotel staff parted the bed for us, and also helped us contact the travel company as no one told us about our return taxi, but the staff were more than helpful trying to find this out for us. The hotel is situated perfectly for sightseeing and was only a 10 minute walk to the train station.

I can't recommend this hotel enough, and when I come back, I will see if there are rooms availbe here, as I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: Any of them, as there is a lift in the hotel.

Loved our stay. The hotel felt slightly boutique, tastefully decorated for Italy. I would say it was relatively inexpensive.

The front desk girl lacked knowledge and passion for her job, but this is common in Italy. She left our Passports out on the counter for 30 plus minutes unattended. She dismissed it as an unimportant error. We felt that the staff didn't connect as much as they could. People always remember being treated special, not the soap in the room.

The upper deck patio was very nice, a respite from the town. The only thing they could improve on is the food menu for the patio. It lacks any upscale appeal, more like vending machine food. The music was barely audible. It just lacked ambiance all around. The view, yes, was great.

The location is excellent for anything one wants to do. Not having WIFI is common in Italy hotels, not a deal breaker. The noise in room was minimal.

We don't care about breakfast, but theirs was ample. The gentleman running the room was kind and attentive.

Dear Guest
thank you to take time to write this review, your feedback is very important for us, as that from our fails we can grow constructively. As you can see from other reviews our staff receive a lot of good comment and sound strange that the girl on front desk doesn't have the passion, we can't please every one and we take a note of your review to improve.
We are thrilled that you ve enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to welcome and assist you once again to Sorrento.
Warm Regards

We have just returned from our friends wedding in Sorrento & spent 3 nights in the Palazzo Guardati. I am so pleased that I found this hotel as it was ideally located just off the Tasso Square, 5 mins walk from the train station & close to fantastic restaurants, bars & shops. The staff couldn't have been more helpful & friendly; in particular Vittor at breakfast & Antonio on the Terrace. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the terrace has beautiful views and we will definitely be returning again. Thanks for a great time!!

My friends and I stayed here as our friend was getting married in Sorrento. We booked a triple room and were pleasantly surprised to how spacious it was especially to accomodate three women with all their clothes makeup and toiletries. We didn't have a problem at all. Very clean and staff very friendly. Located just off the main square and 5 min walk to the ferry port. There was an amazing roof top terrace with plenty of sun loungers, tables and chairs and a waiter who serves drinks and snacks. The views from the roof were fab. Although it was in a very central location we did not have any problems with noise pollution. The only downside was there was no free wifi ( it was expensive at €3 for 30 mins) but I now understand if you book the room directly with the hotel then you may be issued free wifi. I would recommend this hotel for friends, family or as a romantic getaway
