“Location, Location, Location”

The title says it all - both good & bad. It is in the old town so you can easily access pretty much everywhere incl trains and beach (both approx 10mins). The downside is that the small street below is quite noisy - bin men & fish seller setting up early. However, this is probably the case with most accommodation in the central area of Sorrento so you make your choices.

The apartment itself is very nice. If I lived there I would make changes to the layout as the shower is tiny and the mezzanine in the main bedroom serves no purpose. As a rental there could be some improvements as it is not really set up for self catering - shortage of simple items. We ate out most nights and managed to cook some chicken & rice stir fry one night (pizza, pasta & fish can get a bit much when there for 6 nights!)

Bruno, the rep, was brilliant. We arrived about lunch time so he stored our bags in his shop opposite the train station for a couple of hours whilst the apartment was being prepared. Great lunch in his recommendation (Red Lion - Leona Rossa). He then showed us to the place and explained everything. We kept in touch via WhatsApp all week including booking a trip around Capri. There were lots of local brochures in the apartment and the wi-fi was well used.

Visited all the highlights - Pompeii, Vesuvius, Capri, Positano & Amalfi. The public beach was busy bit still managed to get a place on the jetty deck most evenings.

Would I stay again - no because I'd probably go for somewhere with a pool in a different location so I could experience other parts. But I would still recommend if you are just after a self catering base for your stay

“I'll be back!”

Great location...and great time of the year. Stayed two weeks...one flight up about 30 or less steps...no lift. If you can't do steps this is not the place for you. Air conditioner was very good you will need it at night. There is a lot of noise as you are in the historic center, so you will need to keep the windows closed while sleeping. The manager was extremely accommodating....recycling is the crazy....if you think you have it bad....I will never complain again. The streets are cobblestone and every morning they pick up a different type of recycling. I must admit the area is spotless. Feeling Italy supplied a list of restaurants to try and one was better then the other. There is one right out side the apartment and it was very good. The great part of the location was the fact you were in the middle of everything and even if you were out all day you still went out and walked around at night. We had four adults in the apartment for at least a week and we seemed confortable and having the one bathroom didn't seem to be a problem. Hot water was very good as was the water pressure. The drain did run slow, but we never reported it. The one thing that I would like is clean towels more often...but it is an issue for me all over Italy. I don't know what I would do with them after use, as I was not planning on doing wash....

“Perfect city location”

Clean modern compact city apartment a perfect location for touring the Amalfi coast. Short distance to trains, buses and the restaurants, sights and bays of Sorrento. Perfect for a family or two couple if you are ok with an open plan bedroom and sharing a bathroom. A little noisy but that is to be expected in city centre apartments fully acceptable for us. A little let down but hit and miss customer service from the person responsible for access to the apartment. Don't arrive late he will complain endlessly.
