Andrea Azzariti, the owner, was great to deal with.. He speaks English very well and will give you great suggestions for restaurants and places to see. I hope I get back soon. Remember to have a Lemoncello on the square. Sorrento is the birthplace of the Lemoncello.
Andrea has a boat to take you to Capri, an expensive touristy island off the coast. It is a must see but over priced.
I would go back here in a heartbeat.
Thanks Andrea for a great vacation.
Thank you for your recent stay at Villa la Terrazza! We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit with us. We hope to see you again soon.
We chose this apartment over the standard hotel options, needing a bit more space for the family over a six day break. The location is perfect if you want to stay in Sorrento, amazing views, a well run and functional apartment in a beautiful old villa. The owner Andrea is the most hands on ever, visible daily and providing great recommendations for visits and restaurants.
Sorrento itself was slightly disappointing, take the beautiful views and great food out and it is just a main street but surrounded by incredible scenery. All in all, if Sorrento is your choice of destination then this traditional property is a great choice.
Thank you for your recent stay at Villa la Terrazza! We are sorry your stay was less than perfect. Can you please provide further information on your negative ratings as they were not reflected in your comments? We would really appreciate it as we strive to provide our guests with the best possible experience. We hope to see you again soon.
Just spent 4 nights in the Paradise Suite at the Villa La Terrazza with my daughter. The apartment was spacious and had an extraordinary view of the harbour and the bay of Naples. The location is excellent with many excellent restaurants and shops nearby. Our host was very welcoming and helpful, even giving us a lift to the train on our departure. I would highly recommend this property as a great place in Sorrento.
Hotel overlooks the port and is the only hotel on the southern side of Sorrento's coast. Room was large with a sitting room and full kitchen, as well as a private balcony overlooking the water. Besides the beautiful building, the hotel is mere steps away from the city center with numerous restaurants and shops. The port is a ten minute walk if you want to take a ferry to Capri. We were in Italy for a week and stayed at various hotels but this was our favorite by far. Will be back.
The website for Villa La Terrazza does not provide much in the way of photos so that prospective customers can make an informed decision as to which apartment they might enjoy. Here are our pictures of the apartment known as “Il Pino”, our favorite. You can access it from the main foyer, up about 10 steps. You come into what I call the main room which can double as a second bedroom. The kitchen faces the courtyard on one side and has a spectacular view of the coastline out the terrace doors, which is the other access point. You can reach the main terrace by exiting the kitchen doors onto the small patio and down a set of steps.
We didn’t need the fireplace in May but I am told it is functional. Hope this helps.
