“Best Value in Italy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2013

As part of our 40th anniversary trip, we chose Hotel Prestige. When we arrived they were very warm and gracious. They put us in their deluxe room, the best in the hotel. We had barely made it to our room when they delivered a bottle of wine and snacks as a welcome to celebrate our anniversary.

Every room at the hotel appeared to have a balcony or terrace. Our room had a large terrace and was at the top of the hotel with the most magnificent view. The hotel is at the top of the hill over Sorrento. From our terrace we could see the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius in one direction. Another view looked over Sorrento and the Isle of Capri. And peering through the hotel's garden, we could see the Gulf of Salerno.

The hotel was extremely helpful arranging transportation to and from Naples. Their shuttle was very convenient for trips to and from the center of town.

Their breakfasts had everything we could want, including amazing pastries and cakes (I think we counted 15 different kinds!). They also had very reasonably priced snacks and beverages.

Would love to go back and spend a week or two there!

We spent five nights at Hotel Prestige in Sorrento, but we should have stayed longer. It was the highlight of our holiday in Italy. We went to Venice after visiting the Amalfi coast, which didn't impress us at all in comparison. All the members of staff are lovely. They all worked very hard to meet our needs. Nothing was too much to ask. The patience, the kindness, politeness...I truly can't put it in words. I can honestly say, and my husband agrees, we've never felt so appreciated at any of the hotels we stayed at during our past holidays and they were many. The hotel is well maintained, very clean, with gorgeous views across the gulf of Naples. Our room had an internal view with a lovely private terrace where one could enjoy their morning coffee. There is a well stocked mini-bar in the room at decent prices, breakfast is varied to please many cultures: eggs, bacon, beans for the Brits, croissants and pastries for the Italians and French, salami, ham and cheese, toast orange juice, olives, cereals etc There is a swimming pool and a beautiful garden for those who may wish to relax instead of exploring the coast line. The shuttle bus service provided by the hotel is included and it proved to be very convenient. Natale, the driver, was very entertaining and very professional. They are all very professional, in the restaurant and at the front desk. Although we went there with our homework done, they proved to be a wealth of information in helping us plan our days and when they didn't know something, they asked us to share our findings with them so that they could help other guests in the future. They are excellent and yet eager to improve. In our opinion they are doing a great job and we will definitely return, next time even bring our friends with. Many thanks to all staff at Hotel Prestige!

Stayed in the hotel for two nights as we were attending a wedding in Sorrento. The view from the hotel is amazing. The staff were so friendly and eager to help...especially Emiliana who works on the reception. I asked for a taxi to get to the wedding venue but she said they are too expensive and she would try to see if the hotel could provide a driver to take me there free of charge...it was possible and the driver was even offering to bring us back after the wedding.

We stayed for one week and what a great week it was. From the moment we arrived we felt really looked after. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was a Superior with sea view. The view from the balcony was stunning. The room was well appointed and a good size. Traffic noise could be an issue for some people. Large bed but the pillows are really hard. No tea making facility which is a shame. The swimming pool area again has stunning views as does the rooftop bar. The breakfast was ok, but far too many cakes. The shuttle bus is really useful as the hotel is quite a way from town. The bar prices are very reasonable and although they don't have a restaurant the bus take you to the Il Panorama which is fantastic and such good value. We had a really fantastic holiday due to all the staff and the people we met at the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms with a sea view can be a bit noisy due to the busy road.

We stayed here on the last leg of our 2 week honeymoon of Italy. The staff are fabulous, so helpful and caring and full of handy tips to make the most of your stay. The 'singing' bus driver Natale comes out of his shell and starts belting out italian opera or Michael Buble if your lucky and drops you off at the station,or town centre each day and night for free. The hotel is spotless, absolutely immaculate and the rooms are spacious. As previous reviews have heeded to, its not huge so its a personal touch you get at all times. The breakfast is a generous selection of cakes, homemade beans, bacon and eggs and breads, yoghurts, mousses and fresh coffee and juice. The views have to be the best part though, panoramic views taking in the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius. Overall had a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Ask for 110, bang in the middle of the hotel and a great balcony with incredible views. Not classed...

I can't say enough about the staff at the Hotel Prestige. The entire staff is wonderful. They are extremely helpful in planning your activities and they make you feel welcome and at home. The hotel is in a great location, especially with the free shuttle service, with a great view. The hotel is very well maintained with clean, nice size rooms. Sorrento is a great town and is the perfect location to stay for a trip to the Amalfi Coast and Capri. Our thanks to the entire staff of the Hotel Presitge for a memorable stay.

I stayed at Hotel Prestige on my recent trip to italy, it was a highlight of my holiday and I wish I could have stayed longer. The hotel is located in the hills above Sorrento, on the road that leads to Amalfi, with stunning views of the bay of Naples, with Capri and Ischia in the background. The professional sevice provided by the hotel is really outstanding, nothing was too much trouble, special mention to Emiliana. I had a very small single room, but to compensate I had a private sun deck and a fabulous view. Breakfast was quite good. another positive thing was the shuttle service provided into Sorrento, the driver would play Neopolitan music on the stereo and sometimes sing along, it was so atmospheric, i loved it. I recommend Hotel Prestige and hope to return someday.
