Among these "la capannina" has hosted jackie and aristotele onassis, marcello mastroianni, christian de sica, julia roberts, dustin hoffman, zucchero fornaciari, uma thurman, sylvester stallone, kirk and michael douglas, katherine zeta jones, michael kors, jerry springer, danny de vito, anne hathaway, dino and aurelio de laurentiis and many, many more.the convivial family atmosphere created by owners antonio and aurelia de angelis and their son francesco and daughter renata make up the ingredients which guarantee the "capannina's" continuing success."La capannina's" menu features much of the traditional and delicious cuisine of this beautiful island. There is a tempting selection of local specialities including spaghetti with scorpion fish sauce, homemade scialatielli pasta with seafood, boiled prawns on bed of chickpea puree, stuffed calamari and fresh fish.

A lovely pinkish restaurant which we came across while we were walking around in Capri streets. The restaurant has a very warm decoration with different tones of pink everywhere. Wine racks on the walls added another lovely touch to the atmosphere. There are photos of celebrities around the world hanging, including Onassis family, who visited the restaurant.

We ordered Ravioli Alla Caprese, Pappardelle Al Salmone for main dishes, Dolce Del Giorno for desert, two glasses of Bicchiere Vino (Homemade Wine) and two Cappuccino for finish. Plates were not full in our scale (!) but good enough to feel deliciously full afterwards. We paid 81 euro total including 10 euro for service. So, you don't have to pay tip!

All in all, having a lunch in this fabulous restaurant was a gem on our Capri trip. Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly and welcoming but the food was mediocre for the price. It feels like this restaurant is stuck in the 1960's/1970's era which is fine if you enjoy slipping back in time!

I was really excited about my first evening in Capri...and La Capannina unfortunately wasn't what I expected. Starters were cold and didn't taste fresh...
I think best advise would b to stick to traditional fresh Italian pasta...
The place has a lot of history in Capri with its celebrity guests, etc...and the deco is really nice...but the food and service did let me down.

Very warm welcome from friendly staff and proprietor. This Capri restaurant is well worth a visit. Food is absolutely delicious combining fresh ingredients with traditional Italian cuisine. The restaurant was established nearly 50 years ago and has remained under the same ownership. Pictures of celebrity diners adorn the walls of this delightful hostelry. What makes La Campanina unique is few dishes you won't find in any other place in Capri so feel free to ask the staff for recommendations. Reasonably priced but needs to be booked in advance during the high season.

Family run establishment, it offers excellent quality food with an extremely friendly and relaxed service. We had pasta, grilled porcini mushrooms, a delight of taste and freshness. Will be going back there on the first occasion
