For those who wish to combine tranquil beauty and peace but not too far from chic shopping and fabulous restaurants, Casa Augusto is place to stay. Immaculately clean rooms, very friendly and unobtrusive service by Augusto and family. Short distance to all places one wants to taste and enjoy in Capri. Will be back!

Casa Augusto is a wonderful B&B in Capri and it is really one of the best place to stay in this wonderful island. Augusto is a perfect landlord and he does everything possible to make your staying the most pleasant you can desire. This location is perfect to visit the fashionable Piazzetta and enjoy the night life but at the same time it offers you all the peace of a secluded relaxing retreat. Waking up here in the morning is a real pleasure and the mix of sea and countryside atmosphere is a real unique sensation. Thanks Augusto for all the passion in your work. You are able to transform the simplicity of your hospitality in a real pleasure !

Room Tip: All rooms are nice and similar.

We had a fantastic time in Capri, as part of our honeymoon - probably more so than Positano. Augusto made us feel right at home and was very helpful.

They have a beautiful home in a great central location and for what you get and where you are you really can't grumble.

The rooms are large with private bathroom, yes they are simple but very clean and charming and let's be honest you don't go to Capri to stay in your room.

Augusto was a star giving us local advice and was always at hand to book tickets , porters and provide any help needed.

Breakfast was very enjoyable with some homemade cake and fruit from the garden. Served in a beautiful setting in the gardens of Augusto's wonderful home.

I would not hesitate to go back and stay again and don't forget Augusto you are always welcome to visit Liz and I in Bath!

Dear Dan and Elizabeth, thanks a lot for your beautiful words. As soon as I come to England I'll contact you to come and visit the town of Bath. Enjoy your stay in St. Lucia! Augusto

The Casa Augusto is the perfect place to enjoy Capri. In brief, stay here and have a real vacation.
1) Rooms are modest but cool and pleasant. Felt right at home. It's a B&B not a corporate hotel so there's a little funkiness; but everything is spotless, quiet, homey.
2) Every morning a wonderful, and filling!, breakfast, seated under the apricot trees, looking out on the yard, sheltered from the sun with an umbrella and the trees - happily relaxing.
3) Location - perfect. 1 min walk down the via Mulo from the Due Golfi (?) bus stop - near but not in the center of Capri so you don't feel crowded - easy walk to everything - Augusto can advise about the magnificent trails around the island, up the mountain, and esp down to the Med for a swim down the via Mulo. I would live there if I could!
4) Yes, there's a dog - Ettore - but he's a small, perfectly behaved, happy pup! Never barks, never enters your room, never begs - but if you call him to play, he'll fetch and just be your pal!
5) Signora Marilena and Augusto, her son, can give lots of "locals-only" info - he suggested great restaurants and which to avoid. Follow his advice - we did and enjoyed magnificent experiences. Also the Deco grocery store is close at hand - good for supplies and picnics.
6) Both Augusto and Signora M. speak English; in any case a smile and good will go far in Italy.
7) We cannot speak highly enough of our experience - Capri is great - but staying at a hotel, even one of the most expensive, would not have created the friendly, really comfortable feeling we had. [Yes, there are very wonderful hotels and perhaps that may be the right choice for some or for some purposes but the local suggestions for walks, hominess of it all turned Capri from merely a tourist stop rushing around to a relaxing exploration of Capri life, history, natural beauty.
GO! Happily recommend B&B Casa Augusto.
[Recommend for business 'cause close to town; romantic (yes, for couples); if in family, get 2 rooms - 100 euro/night with breakfast - friends or traveling alone perfect.

[Tho TripAdvisor's requiring an account and so many cookies or horrible FaceBook to post a review is just wrong.]

Room Tip: There are 3 rooms - one in the center is closer to the yard; the two sides have a paved patio; all have tables, umbrellas; all are equally good; all have AC.

We stayed two nights at the Casa Augusto and enjoyed our stay. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. Each room has an outside terrace to sit in the evenings and to enjoy breakfast in the morning. Each morning they provided a tasty breakfast to your table. The B&B did not have a view of the ocean which would have made it perfect!

The only drawback to the place is that it is located on a steep walk from the town so you got your exercise, whether you wanted it or not, going to the centre of Capri! This was a minor inconvenience but it is worth knowing if you are not comfortable walking up and down hills to get to the place. There are no taxis to get here, only walking.
