The only nice thing about this place is the views it offers. Otherwise the food is poor (some of it - not fresh!) and the service is terrible. On top of the very expensive prices there is a charge of 15% that accompanies your bill as well as the cover charge. We have been warned to check our bills while in Italy but fortunately have not had this type of experiences during our week in Italy - with the exception of this restaurant - extra items were added which we did not order. Having questioned the 15% charge as well as cover charge on the bill (usually one would expect one of the two) - we have been told by the rude waiter that it was some kind of special tax imposed by Capri (which is not true). We also wondered whether it was legal that they only had a sentence in tiny small print indicating the 15% service charge on one last page of the menu (page with pizzas which one would not typically order in this type of place). Hence the entire concept of this place is to trick tourists and not worry whether they would come back. Avoid!

This place offers nice views but this is really all there is.
It is outrageously expensive and food and service are terrible.

Apart from the expensive menu, they also charge a far higher than normal cover charge-coperto and to skin you totally you also have to pay an extra service charge of 15% on top.

Quality of food is less than the level you get in fast food restaurants; pasta was not fresh, neither was the fish. We started with a caprese salad which looked like it had been sitting in the sun for hours, no taste at all and even warm...
My wife had a lemon cake to finish, it clearly was not fresh but coming out of the freezer.

Despite the attractive interior it is also not very clean. Toilets may be very posh and design, they are also dirty...

Finally they also tend to make trouble if you want to pay with credit card, probably because this costs them money. Either there seems to be a problem with your card or their device is out of order, all reasons are welcome to get only cash out of you.

Capri may be the biggest tourist trap of Italy, this place is definitely the biggest tourist trap of Capri. Avoid !

Lunch at this restaurant was a great surprise, good wine list and the food above the average.
The view from the port of Capri is wonderful for those who sit on the porch.
The service provided by the owner was wonderful!!!
Congratulations!

This is a restaurant which is best location to watch the sunset. Be careful to find it - it is not very easy. It can look quite simple from the street, but it is really very nice from inside! Interesting pairings on the wall, nice octopus carpaccio and amazing sunset view.

My husband and I went in to have dinner without reservations but it was early so we thought we would try it. You could see the chef preparing food in a window next to the entry. The windows looked out onto the bay so it seemed very scenic. There were 2 other tables dining. After being seated, I heard the next table ask first, for the wine they had ordered, and next if their food would be served soon. A few minutes later, I heard the other table ask about their order. This is not a good sign in a restaurant with only 3 tables occupied. We waited several more minutes and were not recognized or spoken to by either the hostess or the maitre'd. I then wondered where the server was and decided that perhaps this was not the best choice in a town full of great choices. After waiting a few more minutes, just to give them a chance to wait on us, we left. I have probably only done this two or three times in my life, but I couldn't see risking poor service for high prices.
