Description: The dream starts a few minutes from the legendary Piazzetta:E' Divino will welcome you with its old-style, easy-going mood, here you'll be able to rediscover the pleasures of a slow pace, of informal and genuine fashion, and most importantly enjoy artsy - culinary improvisation, all in true Capri-style!Magic is guaranteed, and so is irony, as everything here is designed to avoid the classic restaurant feel: you can dine on a bed, on a trunk, in the middle of our vegetable garden all the while feeling at home, in a dimension of absolute relaxation, yet fashionable and trendy.Mediterranean cuisine is revisited with creative twist: simple, yummy dishes are proposed according to the most refined, tasty coordinates; extraordinary desserts and a fine selection of wines will delight every taste.Any weaknesses to our concept? None, or if anything we'd have to say: " E' Divino, where alleged weaknesses become wonderful strenghts"

“Good food, poor service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2013

This restaurant came recommended in Lonely Planet so we thought we would
give it a try while on a day trip to Capri. It is located down one of the
wee narrow streets in Capri Town and is easy to miss due to the lack of
signage. On entering you feel like you are walking into a house, but that
opens into a walled garden area with vegetables growing next to the
tables. It was quite a little haven in the middle of busstling Capri Town.
The service was shall we say 'interesting' and I can only describe our
whole experience as similar to an episode of Fawlty Towers! The food was
simple but very tasty and we both came out of the restaurant laughing as
we had never experienced such 'unusual' service. The waitress serving us
was clearly embarrassed by our experience as we were not charged the full
amount! So if you want simple, tasty Italian food and are not too fussy
about service, then this is a good place to try.

“A great find on a small side street”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2013 via mobile

We were recommended this restaurant, it was described as quirky with a good atmosphere and it didn't disappoint. We sat in the candle lit garden which was romantic and charming. We had some of the best food all holiday here and it was reasonably priced for such a pricey island (having just spent 16€ on a single cocktail at my hotel the 20€ house red wine was good value and very drinkable!) it's hard to find, but worth seeking out- not far from the main square.

“Best experience we had in Capri!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2013 via mobile

I am struggling to see how those who left negative reviews ate at the same restaurant that my husband and I visited last night. The garden atmosphere, live music coming from the nearby square, excellent wine and outstanding food all contributed to a wonderful evening.

The young serving staff were friendly and helpful with the Italian menu. No one will rush you while you linger over your meal. This is not an American style restaurant where they hover over you every 5 minutes, so don't expect it if you come here. The staff are as attentive as they need to be and are genuinely kind. They laughed with us as we struggled with our Italian and they with their English.

I had the seafood pasta and my husband had the cannelloni with a small shared selection of bruschetta to start. From the first bite to the last it was delicious. With two bottles of wine our bill was less than €100 which I found to be good value for such an overpriced island.

The restaurant was a little difficult to find which I rate as a positive so it can stay special and sincere, not like many restaurants in the main square that are overrun with pretentious "scenesters". A definite must visit for us if we ever return to Capri.

“Divino! Divino!”

We were there twice and we missed it a lot. The food is delicious and very authentic. The food is served in a small garden or a small patio with a view to the sky. Magic.

“A great restaurant (with a twist)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2013

We really enjoyed this restaurant. So much so we went a second time in a five night visit to Capri. However, I would advise people to understand, this is not a typical Capri Restaurant - no white shoes and shiny gold things! An eclectic collaboration would be the best description. It's laid back, it's good quality and it's worth it. Very friendly staff, explained the Italian menu in English for us (she actually sat at the table and chatted with us) Really nice food and well priced wine (which the staff recommended to us). A really fun experience suited to those who go out to experience Italy and not just to be seen in the right establishments.
