“A godsend on the way to Villa Jovis.”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

We were walking up to Villa Jovis (the ruins of Emperor Tiberius's house) on Capri when we stumbled across this little gem of a family owned and run cafe/bar. With hindsight it is actually fairly well signposted, but you have to be looking out for it. We rounded a corner just as we were about to give up due to the heat and almost fell through the gate. The food was simple and tasty, the service friendly and the views amazing. It sits a couple of hundred metres above the sea, overlooking most of Capri Town and the main harbour. Sitting at one of the tables here is a stand-out memory of 10 days in Italy.

“Location location”
Reviewed 20 January 2014 via mobile

The walk to the villa jovis is rewarded by promising yourself a break and a drink at this lovely outdoor bar about five minutes from the entrance. The view is 100s of meters up out over the water where you can watch the small boats buzzing the tourists around. Good place to try an aperol spritz if you haven't yet - a Campari like liquor with prosecco. Tempting to just stay put with your feet up and enjoy a moment with Capri.

“The ultimate Capri adventure”
Reviewed 11 January 2014 via mobile

So your in the upper town and you are tired of shopping. Take a walk on the old Roman road towards the Villa Jovis ruins. keep walking. it is beautiful. just before the ruins you will see a little sign for the Bar Villa Jovis. Follow the sign. There are tables outside. You want the homemade peach ice cream served with fresh peaches from their own peach tree. This is food of the Gods. then check out the ruins which are close and walk back to the town. It's a good walk and a meal you will not forget
