“Excellent experience!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We had an absolutely positive experience at The Capri Wine Hotel. Peaceful location, but close to main piazza - 7 minute walk. Very modern rooms that were tastefully decorated. The gounds of the hotel were beautiful. Breakfast spread was excellent!

The family that runs the hotel are great! They make you feel like you are part of the family...Rafaelle, Elena and Pietro are wonderful people that make you feel comfortable, and make sure you are taken care of. Two nights was not enough time!

Stayed 4 nights at this lovely boutique hotel and didn't want to leave. It was a relaxing and comfortable place. Location was excellent a short walk to la Piazza and from there one can catch the bus to Anacapri or catch the funicular down to the Marina Grande. Staff was amazing! Rafaelle, Elena, Pietro and Jude were always eager to help an always had a smile. Breakfast was abundant and delicious - I already miss Elena's lemon marmalade. Jude made a great macchiato and had great suggestions for wine or appetizers. Pietro made a great cappuccino and was always very accommodating. I watched the staff take pride on their work- I will say they are all perfectionists and they make sure that everything is perfect for each and every guest. They will make reservations for dinners, tours or your taxi on departure day- which by the way arrived on time. The room was comfortable, clean and bright. The bathroom was very modern and spacious. There is a small safe in the room to keep valuables. The views and atmosphere are just heavenly. I highly recommend this place.
P.S. Elena, Rafaelle, Pietro e Jude- grazie mille per la sua vostra ospitalita. ci vediamo alla prossima volta! baci e abbracci!

Just got back on may 23, 2014, spent 3 nights may 19 to 21 at the Capri wine hotel. Your hosts are raffael and Elena and they love their new hotel as much as we did. Our room beautiful and overlooking the grand marina is locally just perfectly to allow for excellent access to town while allowing us the peace and beauty one wants. Breakfast is served each morning in their gardens and was delicous, with Dad Pietro making a excellent cafe ameranco. Don't hesitate to sit down and discuss your daily agenda with your hosts' we did that each and every day and we filled our days with total contentment, that resulted in some serious sleep with the balcony doors totally open allowing the Capri island breeze to wash over us. Eventually when we returned to hotel at night, we always checked in to see who was at the front desk and had no issue with having a final nightcap with our hosts in the wine bar. We were luck enough to be able to celebrate their 1 year anniversty of being open. Their new hotel is a celebration and a tribute to their family heritage that grew and produced wine on these same grounds for years. In summary after spending 2 weeks in Italy we can assure you that the personality of your hosts are as important to the quality of your experience as the bed your sleeping in. FIVE stars to the hosts, the hotel, Pietro, the bed, the breakfast the view and of course the always energic Jude who pampered us in the morning in the garden.

I stayed here with family for 3 nights and just wish we had stayed longer…or forever! It's such a beautiful place and run by the loveliest people. I have never experienced such personal and friendly service before. You don't really feel like a guest you end up feeling like family which is such a lovely feeling. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and have amazingly comfortable beds. It's worth emailing the hotel to book as they have a single, a standard and a suite room which you can't book through Booking.com. The garden area they have is fabulous and it's such a pleasure to be able to sit in it for breakfast and for wine and aperitivo in the afternoon/evening. They also have a cosy indoor wine bar area where all the wine is kept. So don't worry if the weather isn't good when you visit. Their wine selection is just far too tempting. I would personally recommend the Calu which is organic and tastes divine. As well as having aperitivo snacks with drinks, they also offer a selection of pizzas and other cooked foods for you to order if you don't fancy going out for a meal at a restaurant. All in all it was a fabulous stay and I really hope to go back in the not too distant future, thank you again Raffael, Elena, Pietro, Jude and everyone else at Capri Wine Hotel! :)

Room Tip: Email the hotel to book directly and get more choice and better prices.

If I could give this hotel six stars I would happily do so. Stayed three nights and wish it could have been three weeks or three years! Raffael and Eleanor were the best hosts anyone could wish for (not forgetting Pietro who also made is feel so welcome). Super breakfasts, fabulous location, small but perfectly formed bedrooms with stunning views over the sea to Mount Vesuvius, excellent wine selection. The attention to detail and personality of the hosts and their staff make this a very special place to stay.

We loved staying at the Capri Wine Hotel. Raffaele, Elena, Raffaele's father and Jude genuinely welcomed us like we were family. The facility is spotless, well designed, and in a quiet location with a beautiful view of the Bay of Naples. Breakfast was wonderful, home made baked goods, warm dishes, more than expected. We highly recommend making this your home in Capri.

We just back from a 14 day trip to Italy in which Capri, and the The Capri Wine Hotel were definitely a highlight. We were traveling in Italy on a budget and I certainly cannot imagine getting a better value for your money that the Capri Wine Hotel. We were shown the very best hospitality of anywhere in Italy at this hotel. The owners, Raffaele, Pietro & Elena Coppola and also Jude, who helps serve breakfast in the morning, strive to make sure your stay in Capri is absolutely perfect. The rooms are new, well-appointed and very tastefully decorated. Not only are the the rooms beautiful, they are kept clean - without flaw. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely stunning and the breakfast area overlooks the beautiful Capri seaside. Breakfast is fantastic with every kind of fruit, pastry, etc... and Jude will come to your table and take your order for whatever kind of coffee or tea you desire. One morning I wasn't feeling well and didn't show up for breakfast with my husband, They inquired about me and brought tea right to my room. The service is exceptional and the staff is genuine!

There is also a sitting area with the same stunning view that my husband and I sat at in the evening marveling at the beauty of the Island.

The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the center of town, but if you prefer, or have trouble walking (Capri is all hillside and the town is an uphill walk from the hotel), there is a bus stop very close to the hotel with buses going by about every 20 minutes (make sure to flag them down. You pay 1,80 euros per one way bus trip or you can buy a 6 day pass - either way it's a bargain.) If money is not a issue, taxis are readily available and can be called at anytime.

Whatever information you need, do not hesitate to ask the staff there. They are more than willing to help and have expert knowledge of the Island having lived there most of their lives. Elena saved us from making a grave mistake by suggesting a walking path to the Arco Naturale and other sites that saved us from going UP several hundred steps that I would never be able to climb. If we had taken the route we were planning, we would have had to go UP those steps instead of DOWN them.

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel or the staff. If you decide to stay here, you will not be disappointed, If we ever have the chance to go back to Capri, we would definitely stay at the Capri Wine Hotel again!
