Having spent a week at this most magnificent property words alone don't do it justice. You just have to experience it. From the moment you arrive every need and detail is taken care of effortlessly. Transportation is arranged to take you up to the Piazza day and night. The staff welcomes you as if you had just returned to your very own villa. They are like family. The rooms and common areas are exquisite and beautifully decorated with the finest furniture and fabrics. The views are incredible and can be enjoyed while having breakfast, lunch or dinner on the large terrace. Oh, and did I say the food was fantastic? Simone, Mauro and all the other staff make you feel like you are a Hollywood A -lister. I have stayed at some of the world's best known 5 star hotels and this one was the best. I even think given its price tag that with everything that it offered it was a bargain. All I can say is "strepitoso"!!!
Ciao

I visited Capri in October when the island was quieter than summer, the temperature was cooler but the day was still long and the chill of the evening was still tolerate with just a warm cardigan over my shoulder. On arrival, I was greeted with complementary healthy snacks and cocktail served at the outdoor terrace overlooking the sun-setting ocean. The black & white theme was so classic, yet elegant. Furnitures, painting, wall art, and the finishes of the hotel was amazing. The services were attentive, yet discreet. I felt I was pampered. The bedroom was decorated with four post bed, crispy and high thread count linen with personalised embroider JK. Super dooper great mattress! The view, private view, overlooking the Mediterranean turquoised sea with little balcony table and chair. There was a shower, a separate amazing bath tub with traditional taps polished to the maximum shine, with marbled counter with two sinks, with a separate dressing room! There was a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool, leading to the amazingly fragrant Capri style spa. Breakfast was laid on the long but grand table, in a well decorated room with many Phaidon art books, Greek/Roman sculptures, romantically vintage light fittings and plenty of natural light shining through the floor/ ceiling doors. I've been to JK Place in Florence so felt very privileged to be able to come to JK Capri. Amazing place with well manicured Italian island!

A beautiful relaxing hotel with superb service. The public rooms are very New England and make you feel as if you are at a hose party not a hotel. The terraces are beautiful and it is hard to drag yourself away to explore Capri. Breafast on the terrace was delightful with excellent service. Dinner was also very good - probably the best meal we had on our Naples/Capri holiday. The room was spacious and the bathroom even more so. there was more than ample, wardrobe space and plenty of coat hangers(hurrah). The balcony was not large - just enough room for two chairs and a small table. An Nespresso coffee maker in the room would have been good for an erly mrorning coffee but the complimentary soft drink minibar was a nice tocuh and the plentiful supply of good bottled still and fizzy water. The shuttle seervice to Capri town works well and we did not have to wait more than 10 minutes at the very most in either direction. It is also possible to walk or get the funicular from the port to Capri town and the port is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Buses to Anacapri also run from the port so the hotel ios actually ideally located for exploring the island. The spa and the pool, were also excellent. Looking forward to visinting again and aslo trying JK Place Florence & Rome!

Three nights in Capri at JK Place and my wife wants to move permanently to Capri. It is first class in every way: service, rooms, personnel, view, cleanliness, gym, pool and spa, transportation to and from the city center of Capri. A bit pricey, but well worth it! Staff is eager and accommodating; rooms with a view to die for; no trouble getting transportation to anywhere; fitness center better than any comparable size/quality hotel in Capri or elsewhere. When we again go to Capri. - we will stay at JK.

Room Tip: Get an ocean view if possible.

There is nothing not to love about this very special hotel. Upon advise from friends we made the right decision of staying on Capri vs. doing a day trip from Positano. It is a totally different experience. We stayed for 2 nights and think 3 would have been perfect.

It really doesn't feel like you are in a hotel, but the most luxurious villa with the most hospitable staff. Mauro greeted us upon arrival and made sure our stay was exceptional. The website is great, but JK Place is more spectacular in person as it truly comes to life. We stayed in a junior suite which was so beautiful, spacious and had fabulous views. The common areas are beautifully decorated and there are so many comfortable spots to sit and gaze at the magnificent views. The location is outstanding. The "shuttle" is so easy and it is also a short walk down to the hotel from town.

The pool, gym and spa are all great as are their kind staffs. The restaurant is excellent and the service under Lorenzo makes it even better. During our dinner he went out of his way to make our dinner reservation for the next evening at one of his favorite restaurants, Aurora, which was great. The entire hotel is managed by the most charming "host" Simone. He is an amazing General Manager making everyone feel so welcome. This hotel really "gets it"... making a visitor feel at so at home and taking away any of the stress of traveling ensuring your visit to Capri is magical.

If you want to wake up to a picturesque view of Mt. Vesuvius ahead of you amidst the Tyhrannean Sea, view the turquoise-navy sea from the rear view of your bathroom window, then JK Capri is the place. Having traveled somewhat, I must say that this was the most wonderous, joyous place that my husband and I have been to.. We are 'sticklers' for service and you can't find ANYTHING WRONG here. They are a very gracious staff, heralded by GM, Signore Giorgi, Carolina at the front desk, Luigi as bartender, wait staff including Elena et al, are all magnificent people...Fresh floral arrangements greet you in every room and the breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. BUT the most important thing is that these people truly seem to love their jobs. They are always suprising you with unexpected upgrades. Please look into this place., it's minutes from Marina Grande and worth the trip if even for lunch or dinner...You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Room Tip: If you stay in a JK Penthouse., you have an unprecedented view, especially #22.

Alluring, stylish, 1950's Hollywood glamour, seductive. These are just a few of the words that describe the hotel and the experience you will have staying at J.K. Place and Capri.

Staying at the hotel is like going back in time. When graciousness and manners and refinement counted. This was extended by each and every member of the staff to each guest of the hotel, even when some guests had unusual requests.

Attention to detail is extraordinary both by the staff and the designer of the hotel. Each room or suite is unique with a luxurious bathroom. The public rooms are also beautiful and overlook the bay of Naples. Even the staff look as if they have stepped out of the pages of Italian Vogue.

Requests are always met with a smile and a yes. Once I asked if pizza was available for lunch, apparently it's only made for room service, but in the same breath, the restaurant manager (Lorenzo) said he would have it made for me. Another morning one of the waitress knew I liked to cook and brought the chef to meet me. Such simple gestures but a big impact.

Then there is the island to explore. The chic shopping, a private boat tour of the island or enjoy some of the hikes and restaurants on the island. Although, I must admit, we ate the majority of our delicious dinners at the impossibly romantic J.K. restaurant overlooking the sea and stars.

It's not hard to feel that you are in another era when you are at J.K. and Capri. Perhaps in a Baz Luhrmann Great Gatsby film or old Hollywood, with the super yachts in the bay, the glitter and seduction of the island and the luxurious glamour of the hotel.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The discreet charm of the venue and the comfort of feeling at home, surrounded by precious details, this is the philosophy behind the creation of the JK Place Capri. Set into the cliffs of the enchanting island of Capri, the hotel has twenty-two rooms that echo the style and the concept of a luxury house with another element to boost the charm of the site: the light and color of the sea. Spacious rooms where the artful revival of the classical style is enhanced by the sunny curtains and the luminous white floors, highlighting the spectacular views of the Capri coastlines through the windows and panoramic balconies of the rooms. Then there are the inevitable stylish touches, such as the precious marbles and the grey and white mosaics of the bathrooms, and the supremely elegant black-and-white carpets, conceived like frames marking out the various areas of the bedrooms. The building was first inaugurated as a hotel in 1885 and rapidly became a point of reference for the nobility spending holidays on the island. Now, as then, the hotel offers a splendid pathway to the sea below, while the superb location on the Capri cliff-top gives the guest the sensation of being in absolute contact with the natural environment, almost suspended above the azure seascape. The luxury of discreet elegance and taste make the JK Place Capri a place where comfort and wellbeing are combined with an enviable panoramic position, sheer over the sea, immersed in the luxuriant coastline that has always been an exclusive destination and source of inspiration, a resort for emperors, poets and noble travelers, a haven for the soul in which you can lose yourself in admiration of the sea. ... more   less
