I have been already twice to Villa Ravino, always with friends who still thank me for having made them discover the place. I look forwards to repeat the experience. Courtesy, warmth, and efficiency are the keys of Villa's success. The most beautiful sunsets in Ischia Island are a bonus.
One can choose to alternate the thrill of exploring beautiful, but sometimes a little challenging, Ischia and spoiling oneself in the calm of the Villa's impeccable swimming pool and spa. The D'Ambra family's bothanic garden is the cherry on the cake. Well done, Edith!

We first stayed at Villa Ravino last September for a week after visiting the Amalfi coast. We liked it so much that we decided to return for a longer holiday of two weeks this year. Nothing had changed and it was still the peaceful and very relaxing place that we remembered from last year. It really has almost everything you need right there. From the pools to the cafe in the garden, which you can wander round when it is closed to the public. Makes you feel very exclusive and the charming D'Ambra family make you feel really welcome and at home.

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms 11 and 12 have a nice view of the bay and the garden from their balconies

Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time at Residence Ravino. The "Giardini", the botanical gardens are a stunning setting for a nice, relaxing stay on Ischia, with swimming pool and a nice thermal bath where we spent a lot of time. Nice serene seaview is included. The apartment is basic but has everything you need. We loved the environmental touch to it. The villa is a bit outside, which in my opinion is no problem at all as theres enough to enjoy in the place itself. Moreover you wanna avoid the rather unfriendly tourism in Forio. You do need to walk a little for beaches (or take the bus that halts close to Ravino), but as I understand those are some of the nicer beaches on Ischia.
Edith and husband are interesting people with a passion for their project, the botanical gardens, and we enjoyed our talks with her.
Thank you for the relaxing stay at Ravino, definitely recommended for people who love nature and serenity.

We have just returned from a very relaxing weeks holiday at villa ravino. The gardens and pool areas are beautiful and myself and my husband often had the pools all to ourselves.the rooms are charming with everything you need for a self catering holiday although we ate out at the lovely restaurants nearby most nights! The family are very friendly and helpful with nothing being to much trouble. I would definatley recommend this jewel of a place for a holiday

We stayed at Villa Ravino for a week in mid-july with our teenage daughter and her friend. My only worry before we got there was that it might be too quiet and remote for the girls and that they would get bored. However, this was completely unfounded. The village is only a 10minute walk away and although small, has a couple of shops and lots of restaurants. And the town of Forio can easily be reached within a 15min walk in the other direction. And if you don't fancy walking, there is a cheap and regular bus service leaving right from in front of the villas.
The apartment itself was simple but convenient, with large bedrooms and a large kitchen and terrace. The decor was maybe a bit dated, but I personally do not mind and found it rather charming.
The pool was lovely, just the right size and never too busy. There is lots of different spots to sit in the sun or shade all over the resort, so you can easily find yourself a spot to yourself, should you crave some privacy.
The gardens, although not of great interest to the two teenagers, were absolutely lovely and my partner and myself spent many hours wandering around the amazing plants and sitting in the charming garden café for some refreshments.
Everyone at Villa Ravino was very friendly and helpful, we got picked up from the harbour, got our rental car booked for us, were able to buy bus tickets directly from the villa, got lots of advice and directions...

All in all, we all would have loved to stay longer than a week and can highly recommend this place if you are after something a bit different, enchanting and not too crowded.

Our stay in Villa Ravino was very relaxing and comfortable. The apartment was well equipped and we had direct access to the pool and spa pool. This is an ideal form of self catering where everything was easy - just as one would wish for when on holiday. Sometimes we ate in and enjoyed the sunsets on the roof and other times we went to Sant Angelo, Forio and Ischia Porte. The best part of the day was having an early jacuzzi in the morning as the spa pool was being filled with thermal water, then drying off so that the mineral salts work and then going for a walk in the Giardino Ravino before it was open to the public. Everything was so quiet and peaceful. It was like having one's own private pool and garden at home!
