“The host, Matteo, was very helpful and accommodating with early check in and early check out and also ordered us a taxi to the airport. He greeted us with a large bowl of fruit and chilled water in the fridge. The kitchen was very well equipped and easy to use. It is centrally located for access to transport to galleries and museums, but is relatively quiet. There are several restaurants and a Carrefour supermarket within easy walking distance. Metro station Museo is within 75 metres and gives access to Line 1, towards the port area. Station Cavour, 150 metres away serves Line 2 towards Garibaldi (1 stop) or Pozzuoli. At Garibaldi there is an easy link with the Circumvesuviana for Ercolano, Pompeii or Sorrento.”
I visited this apartment with my daughter and teenage grandson, so the double and two single beds were ideal. Despite the shabby looking building we were greeted by the owners and shown the beautifully re-furbished, very safe third floor flat. They met us with a bowl of fruit, showed us how everything worked, told us where to find a gluten-free restaurant for my Coeliac grandson , and when through no fault of their own, the WiFi went down, worked tirelessly to get it working again. There were two Metro stations, useful shops and the Archaeological Museum very close by, and we could easily walk to the Historic Centre.
We recommend getting a Campania Artecard (bookable on line) as it saves money and makes life very easy!
