On 15th August which is an italian national holiday called Ferragosto, we found that most restorants were closed for lunch... exept this one. Location is perfect for the wonderful view on the gulf (reccomended for couples in love!). There's only first quality food, especially the fresh seafood. Unfortunatelly they don't serve pizza for lunch, which is excellent and cheap.
The bad side of this story was the behaviour of the head waiter who tried not to show us the menus, pushing us to take the most expensive dishes (later discovered it was e.g. about 20 Euro for one dish of spaghetti). When we firmly asked to have a menu with shown prices he started to be rude with us. Finally we ordered: 2 sea appetizers and 1 gnocchi alla sorrentina, 1 bottle of water... 44 Euros. Portions were really large, service was quite fast.
You know.. in some way it's a kind of tourist trap, if you don't pay attention, they get your money out very easly. Go for dinner, have a good pizza with some appetizers... and it will be a memorable night! :)
if you go by car consider 3 euro extra for parking.

The location makes all. Food is quite good. Make clear what you have ordered in advance to avoid discussions with the very poor quality service people of that restaurant. I recommend you look for a high-quality restaurants in the same area: they will have the same prices, but at least decent waiters who don't want to cheat you and don't insult you if you complain about it...

The view is worth the average food and NO service attitude from the entire staff. We ask no less than two or three times at each point of the evening. Italian restaurant with no caffe machine really I just think it is funny. Make sure you have reservations!

We went to Reginella on the advice of our hotel concierge who said it had the best view in Naples and he was right! As others have said, the view is fantatstic of the Bay of Naples and you can see Vesuvius looming overhead, as well as Capri. What the concierge neglected to tell us was the the service would be so terrible. The waiter, whom I suspect spoke more English than he let on, was relentless in pushing the house antipasta -- which we did not want. At every turn, when trying to order another appetizer, he kept trying to get us to order the house antipasta. He then tried to push a particular primi piati and secondi piati -- again not what we wanted. On and on it went. We ended up with the dishes we wanted, but it was a constant struggle and the waiter's hositility grew as the night went on. As for the food, it was average. Far better places for food and service in Naples. Maybe go for a pizza and drink at Reginella for the view.

We went to Reginella's for our anniversary and requested an Italian co-worker make us reservations. We were, not surprisingly, the first table to arrive. The wait staff wasn't overly friendly but spoke enough English and I spoke enough Italian to get a bottle of wine (which was typically overpriced) and the anit-pasti sampler. We got "fish and cheese" and in hindsight, should have only gotten the fish. A sampler of fried pizza dough, rocatta covered in almonds, cold seafood and fried shrimp arrived. It was 15 Euro per person, so the price definitely follows the atmoshpere. For primi, we had their house fruiti di mare which was lovely and fairly tasty.

The atmoshpere was definitely beautiful. It was a cold, windy night so there were no clouds and a bright moon over the bay of Naples. The food is not as good as I was hoping and I felt a bit let down. It must be noted that I overheard no less than 3 tables speaking English, so maybe more popular among American tourists than Italians. If you are visiting, it is a nice place to stop and conveniently located in Posillipo. If you live here, it's not the end all be all of Naples cuisine. Maybe we'll just get antipasti next time...
