I spent four nights at the Palazzo Caracciolo in August 2012. I was extremely pleased with the hotel and would certainly recoomend it to others. Extremely helpful and friendly and polite staff, the hotel is very quiet , centrally situated and tastefully designed and decorated. I had a mini suite on the first floor with my own private terrace and found the room spacious and very comfortable, and really clean, the bed being exceptionally comfortable too. I stayed there on my own. A very well-run, clean, tasteful hotel.

It was my second stay there. 2 or 3 years ago the hotel was excellent and brand new. Now it is not.

Poor service (front desk/ hotel maids), breakfasts chaotic and disappointing with very poor selection of food, corridors and lifts are just dirty.

Rooms are still nice, location is very good for sighseeing. Still a good value if you book ahead online.

The M Gallery in Naples was a pleasant surprise....even nicer than we expected! It's a good central location with nice rooms and great service. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice place without blowing the budget.

The conversion of this palazzo which has had several previous lives has been carried out to a high standard. Rooms are comfortable, clean and very well air-conditioned (almost too well!). The breakfast was ample and tasty, it even had carve it yourself ham though I haven't found a hotel yet that doesn't do weird things with scrambled eggs! Please ignore the negative publicity about Naples, there are NOT piles of filth, criminals, pickpockets and prostitutes on ever corner, Naples is doing a lot to literally clean up its reputation. Yes there is poverty but the people are warm and helpful especially if you try some Italian. If you like pizza there's no problem round the hotel but you may have to go a little further to find more variety.
Now the negatives: despite the high standard of the hotel the bar and restaurant are fairly souless in the evening, despite the welcome from the restaurant manager, I didn't want to sit in a vitually empty restaurant and the bar was equally desolate. The restaurant is fairly standard with a few twists. If they want to they could really capitalise on their guests if they marketed these facilities. Lastly a tip for travellers: there is no safe place from motor scooters/motorbikes. Expect them everywhere; footpaths (including the one opposite the hotel which has two garages), wrong ways on one-way streets, pedestrian only areas, in crowds!

Room Tip: You might want a view of Vesuvius though there's usually a heat haze.

Good value ofr money. Location is okay, but I wouldn't walk around at night (probably applies to Naples as a whole ). We arrived early off the ferry and although our room wasn't ready, the hotel offered as a better room for an additional €20 and it was ready immediately. We had to pay for breakfast, which is understandable, but €18 each ??? A bit expensive. WiFi wasn't free either, but only €7 for our entire stay. The hotel is very nicely furnished and decoarted, and we had a balcony looking our over the courtyard where breakfast was served. Overall, a nice hotel, and would stay there again.

Ticks all the boxes expected in a good quality hotel. Clean room, good shower, good air-conditioning, good breakfast and good service. The hotel is not located in the affluent part of the town but makes it up for it by being close to the train station which is handy to visit Pompeii. The hotel will get you fixed rate to the airport.

Excellent service. The hotel is very beautiful. A lovely garden and dining room. A very nice room.

The location of the hotel is ideal if you are arriving by train. Taxis to the airport are pretty available (they'll call and it will arrive within five minutes).

The neighborhood is run down. Naples is a very dirty city. However, the hotel staff are more than happy to direct guests to tourist neighborhoods and museums.
