“Excellent hotel, great location, best Customer service!”
Reviewed 4 December 2012

We recently spent a long weekend in Naples and we were warmly welcomed and host in this very nice hotel located in historical building completely renovated with taste. It offering all comforties and staff were amazingly nice in welcoming us and helping in solving all small issues you might have visiting a new city! Breakfast is offering the best food of the area, from cheese to cakes and home made juices! small "pasticceria" , don't miss the delicious "sfogliatelle", the best we tasted! In general you can see they do care of even smallest detail. Extremely pleasant experience we really looking forward to repeat!

Room Tip: All rooms are nice and quite, however preferable to ask for the one on the courtyard (to be on safe...

Very kind and helpful staff, great architecture, nicely decorated rooms, calm and silence rooms...
No on-site parking, no tea/coffee maker in rooms, bad restaurant, very bad surrounding area esp. for families!

Room Tip: All the rooms seem to have the same conditions regarding calmness... The staff told me they have cof...

You step into luxury in this hotel. We had upgraded to a superior room. Bed was super comfy, best sleep we had in Italy! Didnt find the reception staff especially helpful, had to ask about breakfast arrangements. I noted Italian guests checking in were geting more attention. Not a big issue, but we hadnt found this in the other 2 hotels we stayed in during our Sorrento/Naples week.

The location is not the best, although we picked it for the closeness to the train station (coming from Sorrento) and the airport (for travelling the next day). Its in a pretty shabby bit of the city, although as soon as you walk in the hotel door you are in a great place!

The area does let you experience the real deal I suppose. Close to spaccanapoli, which we enjoyed walking along taking in this very long market street, and stopping at a little bar for wine and cheese.

One point to note - I asked reception about a taxi to the airport and was told the hotel had an arrangement with a local firm, fixed price to the airport. On arrival the driver wanted more, adding 4 euros. i strongly contested this, quoting the hotels fixed price, to which he said the extra was for our bag! Not much choice but to pay, but I made it clear to him that he was scamming us. He wouldve gotten that in a tip, but now left a sour taste. He clearly didnt get a tip after that, and left my last experience of Italy in my first ever trip to the country being a bad one for the sake of a few euros, less than the price of a beer.

Very nice and comfortable hotel in Naples. Very safe, professional staff.

Be informed, that the car garrage is 2 blocks away from the hotel and returning be very careful.
Breakfast was quite strange - very good ham and cheases, but no tomatos or herbs. Very good bakery, but the cofee (especially Capucino) is not use to be in Italy...

Room Tip: I can recommend Deluxe room with balcony (#123) - you can relax in your big balcony-terrace overlook...

Stayed here as part of a group.....Intial impressions were mixed, as the desk staff seemed to give our tour guide a bit of a hard time for some reason.......But the decore is ''art nouveau'' very stylish.....spacious entrance way with lovely big settee's and chairs to use.....We were allocate a bedroom over the main entrance on the first floor....I loved it....from the balacony we could look to the right and see Vesuvious in the back ground....the street was busy with traffic, but the double glazing was excellent, so no noise heard....Bedroom great with all amenities you expect, with the exception of tea/coffee facilities..(par for the course in Italy in all hotels)..Really comfortable beds and quilt.....Beautiful big courtyard in the centre of the complex leads you to the breakfast room...(If you sit out in the court yard, dont forget your ''mozzie sprays''....they are about)......Unfortunately when we arrived for breakfast we were ushered to the bottom end and made to feel second class, because we were part of a group...Inadequate food, cutlery etc had the staff in a spin....especially when there were 45 of us on a schedule.....eventually staff relented and let us use all the facilities....Good variety of fresh produce and breads, with something from the hot plate if you wished.....Security is exellent, ( but giving you the feeling ''what were we needed to be protected from'' )....shame Naples is a ''dirty'' city and care is not taken by those that live here....it has so much to offer to the traveller...I wouldnt be put off.......see for yourself and experience the delights this hotel has to offer.....

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the front of the hotel are not noisy...and it is lovely to sit with the balcony d...

My daughter and I visited Naples in mid-October for four nights and we loved the city and this beautiful hotel. We walked to lovely local family restaurants in the evening and back in the dark and were never hassled. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are very stylish. The beds are incredibly comfortable. I would recommend the room service breakfasts. We had a view of Vesuvius from the balcony! It is a reasonably priced hotel - I am not sure what more any traveller could want?

We have stayed at the Hotel MGALLERY Napoli Caracciolo from July 25 – July 26, 2012.
At check-in we have handed two Accor vouchers à 60 EUR in to partly pay for our stay. The hotel accepted the vouchers, but the next morning we were told that they forgot to credit the vouchers and that we had to pay for the entire bill. Then they promised to refund it to our credit card. I asked for a written confirmation. However the refund to our credit card never happened. So we were betrayed by 120 EUR. Therefore we cannot recomend this hotel at all.
