Stayed here in March, with my 19-year-old daughter, while visiting the excavations. The Alloggio Maria is situated amidst a maze of backstreets, just 15 minutes on foot from the central station, and within walking distance of the National Archaeological Museum. Perfect cafes, and interesting shops, within yards of the door, as well as the best pizza place in Italy -- only four Euros a pop, and Bill Clinton ate there! Our room was huge and clean with an ensuite shower and a small balcony, and a separate bed for me as requested. Staff were very helpful, WiFi worked perfectly, and Kenny the dog was delightful. Our taxi did have some brief difficulty finding it, but the fare from the station was only 10 Euros, so what the heck. B&B is a possible misnomer, because no breakfast, or indeed breakfast room, appeared to be available, but with espresso at 80 cents just round the corner it hardly matter. I would recommend the Alloggio Maria, and indeed Naples, with all its extraordinary energy and chaos, to anyone who loves life.

Other than the taxi from the train station having a heck of a time finding the address, we found the Alloggio Maria B&B very good. Couldn't ask for cleaner surroundings and the location was also very good. A little disconcerting to see the 'alley' where the door is located but soon go used to that. Vittorio is very helpful and we even enjoyed the corner shop where we had our 'breakfast' of juice or coffee and a sweet roll. Would use this place again.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a detailed map to give to a taxi to locate this B&B

We stayed two nights in the end, could cancel one night free of charge spontaneously, this was very nice!
The B&B is near the historical center and around the corner are a lots of bars and one if the best restaurants in Naples. By feet it is around 15-20 mins to the station. There goes no direct bus, but the public transportation is under construction. On the last days we could leave our luggage and checked out late, this was very nice! Our room was very quiet and clean and with a small balcony. The owners fave us good tips for eating, a map and helped us with the buses, called us a taxi. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location in the historic centre of the city. Victor (the owner) was really nice and helpful and there are no curfews so you can come and go as you please. My double room was really big with a tv, minifridge and ensuite bathroom. It was all clean and nicely presented and more importantly the shower didn't run out of hot water and had really good pressure! The hotel is right beside the Duomo, close to via San Gregorio Armano (a famous shopping street selling nativities) and around the corner from the best pizza in the city. I spent 5 days in Naples by myself (female, mid-twenties) and had no safety issues and there are plenty of people around the streets in the evenings (shop owners etc) who are all very nice and happy to help. Other people are commenting that it was a bit difficult to find but as long as you follow the instructions/check a map closely it's really simple to get to (one street over from via Duomo). Even when I (stupidly) left my passport and a wad of cash on the bed after leaving the hotel Victor found it and kept it safe until I returned to pick it up. Such a relief!! Will definitely stay there again.

Located right in the heart of the old section of Napoli. This is a great place to stay in Naples. It's made up of narrow alleys with lots of great restaurants and cafes. The owners are really nice (they don't speak much English, so the fact that I speak Italian helped). For a small fee (much less than a taxi would've cost) they even drove us to the airport where we had to pick up our rental car for our next destination. The room was spacious and somewhat old, but it was clean and fit the bill since we were out all day every day we were there. Breakfast was included and amounted to tickets we were given to use in the cafe just outside the B&B. I suppose the B&B payed the cafe the price of a standard Italian breakfast (basically cappuccino and a pastry or bread). The man who ran the cafe was very nice but the woman (his wife?) seemed really pissed off that we were bothering her! We didn't let it bother us and just made a game out of it betting how long each morning it would take her to be rude!

This hotel was situated in the old city of Naples . The owner was helpful and the room we stayed in was new and clean with a bar fridge, and new bathroom and entrance room. Was a little tricky to navigate through the old streets to get there, but was a great find! Would definitely stay again!

This place was great. The room was comfortable and roomy, and the owner looked after us well, assisting with restaurants and directions to the museum. Only downside was that WiFi only worked in certain parts of the building. Would still recommend.
