Long narrow street, teeming with life and opening onto small piazzas, it cuts old Naples in half and is home to many of the must see churches and attractions in the city.

Another cozy place in Napoli old town. We felt safe wandering around, sure you have to take care of your valuables.

You cannot visit Naples without taking a stroll along this street, stretching from Via Duomo to Via Toledo. Report of thieves and pickpockets seem exaggerated as we had no concerns at all. Using common sense to keep valuables out of site and cash in a money belt, you will have peace of mind, but there was no threat in our experience.

If you like to watch people, wander streets, see an endless variety of items for sale, snack on pastries, gelato, pizza, and even fries now, you'll like spaccanapoli. Cutting straight through Naples makes it a good way to get to other places in the city.

It was lovely to wander around through the narrow old streets, sometimes blowing away by a scooter, enjoying to see the people and hearing the merchandisers, now about the small shops, visiting old beautiful churches...
