So we arrived at Naples airport ... Walked outside to the bank of Napoli at got the albibus to the port (euro 4 each way) get off at acton bavello it's 3 stops the last stop about 30 mins journey and the bus is every 30 mins. You get on the cruise ships here so the hotel would make a great first or last night of a holiday. Anyway as you get off the bus walk away from the cruise terminal up the little hill and round the corner and the hotel in on the sea front about three buildings down.
We were warmly welcomed, upgraded to this lovely room overlooking the sea and the ships . What I loved about it was that it wasn't some mad bad corporate sterile boring hotel! It was quirky, homely friendly and the family running it were so lovely,
The breakfast the next morning was on the roof terrace , a fab buffet which had been prepared with love, even the napkins had a ribbon tied around them.

We went for a lovely walk around the castle as you come out of the hotel turn right it was free entrance and the views from there were great. Had lunch In a deli all fresh prepared and delicious, and dinner in a lovely restaurant called Ciro.
The area is much nicer than staying near the train stations and to be honest dirty and scruffy, pay the extra and stay by the front.
Stay are the miramare il definitely go again, it felt a bit like staying with relatives .

Stayed here for a few days to see for ourselves what Naples is all about. The hotel was just what we wanted - in a safe, pleasant area, close enough to walk to attractions and with fantastic views. Our room was upgraded on arrival. The double aspect room gave superb views of Vesuvius and the Bay. Amazing sights to wake up to. The rooftop bar was excellent, breakfast was just what we wanted (usual mix of cheeses, meats, pastries etc). Overall the service was friendly and helpful. It was nice to be in a smaller hotel with a more traditional feel.
Naples itself was great. Yes, it is certainly something like Rome's dodgy cousin who went to prison and nobody in the family talks about but we found it to be interesting and not at all scary. The sea front is worth checking out, as are the castles and the museums. If you like big, busy cities then it's certainly one to consider, as is the Miramare for a lovely place to stay.

The Miramare is very well located with a superb view. It was quiet and the breakfast very good. Our room was well equipped but a very 1980's blue and rather kitsch. The elevator is a vintage one worth seeing and the view from the terrace is excellent. It is all a bit tired but generally clean and the staff are very helpful. I suppose the word 'character' hotel would be the kindest.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room.

This hotel is a beautiful, family run gem right on the water of Naples. Gorgeous rooms (especially those with the views of the shore), kind and professional service, and a delicious breakfast (prosciutto, fruit, eggs, coffee, yogurt, PASTRIES...). The location is a 5-10 minute walk from the main square, and close to restaurants and shopping. The only trouble I had was with the air conditioning (it was initially set too low on the winter setting and then shut off for a few hours during the night) but these does not seem to be a common issue.

Would definitely return!

Very good location, in front of the sea. Perfect view from the windows.
Rooms are big but it seems that repairing and decoration was made 10-15 years ago. Many big towels in the bothroom.
For Napoli it's good quality for normal price!

This is a small charming hotel with an old European feel.. The hotel and rooms are beautifully appointed. A lobby is replaced with comfortable living rooms that are very tastefully decorated. At the end of the day aperitifs are served in the living room by Pascule an engaging staff member aimed to please. Knowing we had gone out in the rain to shop, Pascule set up a surprise tea for us on our return. Needless to say we were very touched by his thoughtfulness. Breakfast was served on the inviting third floor terrace over looking the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. The historic area was in easy walking distance as well as a selection of good restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely treat to stay in this welcoming hotel!

Room Tip: Rooms 5 or 11
