We stayed in Hotel Miramare for 2 nights with friends.
Its a simple family hotel with outstandingly friendly and helpful reception staff.
Location is good, quite central.
The view from our room, nr 7, was onto the sea and we much enjoyed it.
For travellers with sensitive sleep, the noise might be a problem, though.
The breakfast has room for improvement.

Room tip: Take a higher floor room or one that is not on the main street, if noise is a problem.

If you really want to have the whole of Naples at your fingertips then you may want to stay in the cosy Hotel Miramare (Miramare means seaview, by the way). And you can bet it that you will surely ''miramre'' while staying in room 117 and 116 on the first floor. You may just sit on you little balcony and watch the sea and the Vesuvius volcano. The stylish breakfast room is the best place to see the neapolitans run around you while you are savouring your pure espresso and munching sfogliatella and babà pasteries. Biaggio will surely make you feel comfortable while cheking and Gennaro would whisk your luggage into your room with such a friendly and homelike touch as if you have been there some other times. Enjoy

Room tip: Room 116 and 117 on the first floor - great view!!!

Everything about this hotel was charming - from the rotating china used for breakfast, to the free drinks at the lobby bar, to the nightly weather report and chocolates left on your pillow. The staff were wonderfully efficient, attentive, and helpful. The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful.

The room, mine had a balcony, was spotlessly clean, and the bed very comfortable. With the multiple mirrors throughout the room, it gave it an air of spaciousness.

The location is directly on the bay. There is a nice pedestrian walking area to take an evening or morning stroll. The Old City is about a 20-30 minute walk from the hotel. There are several good restaurants only minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed here for one night on business. My room was very kitch and reminded me of one of Sybles or Basil rooms! Everyting inside it was a shade of turquoise blue last decorated in 1985. I was expecting Duran Duran to be playing on the stereo! The bed was comfy. The decor was tired. All the switched were from Knightrider!

Dont be put off - lovely place, nice people but not 4 star!

This hotel is placed right by the sea in front of the Vesuvio Volcano. It’s a very strategic location but the hotel is very old and the rooms would need a thorough refurbishment. Having said that, the terrace for breakfast has an incredible view worth a visit.
The rates are also somehow on the expensive side.
