“Beautiful panorama from the room window”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2012

Historical 3 star hotel in the real center of Naples, located in the highest floors of a pleasant palace, with the windows of several rooms overlooking the roofs and the bay of Naples.
Very close to the main pedestrian street of Naples, Via Chiaia, which brings to the central Piazza Plebiscito thru all the best shops in town. Easily reachable from the metro station.
It was the right way to visit Naples on a 4 days long weekend!
Lovely!

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms overlooking the rooms and the Naples bay.

My mom and I stayed two nights in Naples at the lovely Pinto-Storey. We wanted a room in a safe and quiet location away from the hustle that Naples is known for. The Pinto-Storey fit the bill. The room was spacious, gracious and clean, with a view of the water. The breakfast room was delightful, and the breakfast sufficient (though not the best we'd enjoyed in Italy). One downside is that you must heft your luggage down a set of stairs to get to the elevator, which then takes you up to the hotel lobby. Once checked in, it's easy rolling to your room. Because the hotel is a bit tucked away, my mom (who is 77) and I chose to take taxis to get within reasonable walking distances of places we wanted to see (i.e., archaeological museum, via spaccanapoli, etc.). Overall, we were very pleased with the Hotel Pinto Storey and would stay there again if we returned to Naples.

My travel friend and I used this hotel at the recommendation of a woman from Naples who lives in my small American community. She uses it whenever she returns to Naples. We found the hotel charming and historic, and well-located except for restaurants close by. There were a couple of faster food and snack places, and two local shops, but I think it was fine for my Italian friend, since she has family to dine with, etc. For us, it was inconvenient restaurant-wise. However, the hotel was charming and very clean. Our beds were hard, and the bathroom had the ubiquitous flooding shower stall. :) Again, though, we had a tremendous balcony with views of the local shopping streets and the Bay of Naples in the distance. It was warm while we were there, and we particularly liked the cross breezes we could capture. The metro and funicular are very close by and convenient. As two single women of a certain age, we were a little wary of the local teen hoodlums that seemed to gather with their motorbikes in the nearby street at night. No problems, though. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, although the day desk personnel was frequently absent. When we checked out, we noticed too late that he had used American dollars on our credit cards, so it cost us a few dolalrs more than we expected-wanting to take advantage of the best float of the euro for the day. That disappointed us. The fashionable shops were within walking distance, and we found the proprietors friendly and willing to try to communicate with us in our paltry Italian. we used the Pinto Storey as a central place so we could travel to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Sorrento, as well as seeing the local Naples sights. It served well, bu next time I think we will locate in Sorrento.

Room Tip: we loved room 14 for the views.

We, who is a group of friends, stayed at Pinto Storey for three nights in this september. According to us the hotel is in the heart of Napoli, you can go everywhere by walking, in this way you can easly learn the heart of Napoli. Hotel has a splendid view of Napoli Bay and Vezuv Volcano. But the other side of the hotel is facing a shoping street.
I was suprised that the hotel is in the fourth and fifth floor, reception desk is in the fourth floor. The other floors of the building are being used differen purposes. So, you can not go in the hotel by the main entrance directly. Get on the elevetor and go to the fourth floor. Main entrance is locked at 8 o'clock in the evening and you have to open the main enrance door by the key given to you by the staffs. Everything is really good and the staffs are very friendly. We allways remember the girl with smiling face in the breakfast room.

Room Tip: Choose a room at sea side of the Hotel for a splendid view. If the price is a point for you, stay a...

We arrived at Pinto-Storey about ten minutes before "check-in." It was a little hard to get all of our luggage up the stairs and into the tiny elevator, but we made it. We were greeted by a staff person vacuuming the waiting area. She encouraged us to come in and indicated that the desk person should be there in ten minutes. We sat down in a quaint sitting area and waited. Half an hour later someone arrived and checked us in. Our room was spacious and clean. The balcony was also quite spacious and overlooked a city street. Balconies are one of my favorite things so this was a major plus for me! The hotel is located right near a metro stop and a few cafes. It is about a 15 minute walk down a nice shopping street to reach various attractions, including the Palazzo Royale and the hop on/hop-off sightseeing bus. We were given keys to let ourselves into the building, into the hotel part of the building, and into our room if we were out past eleven. That evening the woman working at the desk was very helpful and helped us get our phone charged up despite the lack of availability of a working outlet in our room. She also gave us some good tips on finding food. The shower completely flooded the bathroom area whenever we tried to use it, but we found this is quite common in Italian hotels. This one was probably a bit worse than others though. The breakfast was pretty basic and I was able to find a croissant to munch on and some juice to sip.The same check in person was working when we wanted to check out and again was MIA when we needed to leave in a hurry. Overall, the hotel was a good value for the price, but could do better by having someone available at the front desk when we needed them....

I stayed in the Pinto Storey Hotel in Napoli for 4 nights this summer: great location, across from the subway entrance (same line going to Napoli Centrale) and 1 block from Via de Mille (with all the fancy stores). THe room was very tinny but the balcony facing the Napoli bay and the Vesuvio was amazing. Only problem: the AC fan from the room next door was on my balcony and when on, the hot air was blowing up into my room... too bad.... The second thing: paid Wi-Fi....
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
