“One of the great cathedrals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

The Duomo is also known as the Cathedral of San Gennaro in honor of Saint Januarius the patron saint of Napoli. The Duomo is very impressive and rivals the other great churches of Italy. Absolutely worth a visit if you are touring in the historic center.

“Nice church, AMAZING chapel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013 via mobile

We paid €7 each to see the museum. Lots of historic artefacts and items used in the church historically. Wouldn't recommend it for kids or adults not interested in history or the church. Highlight was seeing the chapel and the painted ceiling - up there with Rome - detail was amazing. Shame we then realised you could see the chapel for free when the church is open. Visit to the church is worth it to see Chapel alone. Women must have covered shoulders, but there is a bunch of spare shawls on the entrance.

“Beautiful”

Well worth the visit - beautiful artworks from the 14 century can't fail to amaze. Cover your shoulders and dress modestly.

“The best duomo in Naples indeed...the reveneared San Gennaro is there.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2013

Though many parts of it was under construction, it is still worth visiting. Surely cannot visit naples without paying a visit to the mostly renound duomo where the holy relics of San Gennaro can be found. In itself, you'll enjoy the lovely architecture and building of the duomo, but surely not to miss the lovely cript and beautifully decorated relic area of San Gennaro.

“Sublime in Stone”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2013

This was truly a unique experience. The weight and strength of the construction is so very tangible in the facade and the massive pillars. Some of the artwork is also stunningly original in style.
