This is a big hotel and is busy with corporate events. Nevertheless the facilities are great and the location, near the promenade along the Bay of Naples and within walking distance of the harbour ( with ferries to Capri, Ischia and other islands), restaurants and the main shopping areas would be hard to better.
Rooms are clean and well furnished and if you have a sea view, it is magnificent. Breakfast is excellent , with a wide choice of foods. every kind of diet would be satisfied.,Service good and the staff on reception are helpful, even though very busy.

Room tip: Choose a sea view room as the view is one of the best in the world.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a recent trip to Italy. Found the location of this hotel to be excellent. We had a Superior double room with a sea view on the 6th floor with a balcony. The view was really great. You could see Capri in the distance and an excellent view of Vesuvius. And the Castle in front of you was icing on the cake. The room size was very adequate for Italy. They had a great looking pool on the top floor that I didn't have a chance to use. Easy walking distance to many sites in Naples (If they would just pick up their dog dodo). You really have to watch were you are walking. We visited Cappella Sansevero to view the "Veil of Christ". What a marvelous sculpture. That was our second time viewing it. A little bit of a walk from the hotel, but worth the effort. We also enjoyed one of the restaurants below the castle across the street from the hotel. Lots a places to select from. We wound up at La Scialuppa. Located a bank and a supermarket close by the hotel. Just exit the front of the hotel and make a left. Walk down the street and make a left up the street at the taxi station. You will find a market and a bank on the left side a few hundred yards up the street. We also found the staff pleasant. Especially at the bar. If traveling to Naples I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room tip: get a sea view room

We stayed here for 4 nights, didn't bother to pay more for a sea view as we were going to be out all day so we were given a room down the side of the hotel which was pretty quiet. The room was clean, the bed was big & comfortable & we liked the shutter which kept out the light from the streetlights. Tea & coffee were provided in the room & the air conditioning was welcoming as it was still very warm despite being October. Breakfast was good, pastries & hot food with plenty of tea & coffee.
The hotel is in a great location, the road outside is closed to traffic so you can walk about without having to deal with traffic. The road is well policed & there is an Army presence in the evening- presumably because of what happened in Nice a few years ago. A short walk to various seafront restaurants & there are more restaurants over by the Castel Dell Ovo which is opposite the hotel.
I found the hotel staff very pleasant & polite, they were very helpful when we had a slight problem with our booked return trip to the airport.
